We are staying with my parents for a week over Christmas. For one reason or another DH has been away on and off for the last few weeks so sex has been v rare. I am...ahem...a bit loud when we have sex and find it hard to tone it down. I would feel so uncomfortable and just plain wrong having sex in my parents house but DH is really disapppointed there will be a sex ban!

Is it just me or does having sex in your parents house just feel wrong? We've been married 10 years and never done it before!

Doesn't bother me at all.. We lived with my mum for a few years at one time and we'd never have sex otherwise! Just need to be inventive! - sneak off to the bedroom / bathroom when they are busy watching TV or go for a "walk". Makes it exciting too :).

We lived at my parents for a year and found the best way to approach it was to put the mattress on the ground so there was no bed rhythmic squeaking giving the game away!

Doesn't bother me although I know it does a lot of others.

We sleep in MILS bed when we visit her and always have a shag.

If it is, then I totally agree that having sex in your parents house would be totally inappropriate and DH is being very unreasonable.

Listen, it's perfectly normal to be repulsed and appalled by the idea of your parents hearing you have sex (or indeed, the other way round) and anyone who tries to convince you they're 'fine with it' is just totally weird :)
If my partner tried to make me have sex under conditions I wasn't comfortable under, I would think he was pretty selfish. If he doesn't mind your parents hearing him, ask him to demonstrate this by going off for a noisy wank whilst you and your folks are sat in the living room after christmas lunch.

No one is weird - everyone is just different.
