Wear what you want but I'd not wear leopard print at any age and think it's more something children like or older women wear to be funky, like sparkly tops and sequins.

I'll get me coat and be careful not to let the door slap my arse on the way out

TheFowlAndThePussycat · 22/12/2013 10:05

My granny wore stillettos and leopard print till her late 60s and after a double hip replacement Grin. At 44 you're a spring chicken.

shazbean · 22/12/2013 10:07

Leopard print, tiger print, zebra print...
All in small doses obviously!
A friend told me she doesnt like animal print but on me it looks good....that is what a friend does.
Your mate sounds jealous and mean.

JinglingRexManningDay · 22/12/2013 10:14

I'm not a fan of leopard print on me but there are some lovely dresses and tops I've seen women of all ages wearing. Dd1 loves anything animal print.

Purplefrogshoe · 22/12/2013 10:20

Yanbu I love leopard print and wear it all the time even though my mother keeps telling me it looks awful with my 30g boobs Xmas Blush but she is hardly a style icon Xmas Grin I think your friend was jealous and spiteful

loveolives · 22/12/2013 10:34

You wear whatever the fuck you want!!

Famzilla · 22/12/2013 10:39

I'm not a fan for personal reasons, and it really boils my piss that there's so much on baby stuff these days as it's too old. Funny how peoples opinions can be so different!

Still, never once have I told someone they look anything other than amazing if it's obvious they have made an effort. Your "friend" sounds spiteful and jealous.

Ladyglamalot · 22/12/2013 10:52

Leopard print is a neutral. My wardrobe would rival bunny's for its love of leopard print! I had on a leopard print swing faux fur coat on yesterday and 2 random women told me I looked lovely. Mind you I also was rocking a beehive and red lips so au naturel I ain't!!

Next time you see your "pal" give her a swift kick to the fanny with your leopard print heels!

Rosencrantz · 22/12/2013 14:20

Fucking love leopard print. And fur. And pleather.

I went on my Xmas do covered in glitter. I really don't give a shit.

HoHolepew · 22/12/2013 15:14

I wore leopard print stilletoes and a leopard print and feathers headband to my works do on friday. With a black wighle dress and a great red lipstick recommended by Bunny on another thread. I'm 45 and looked epic Xmas Grin .

Your outfit sounds perfectly normal. Your friend is a joyless cow who is probably jealous of your wardrobe confidence.

I'm not a leopard print wearer myself (I prefer metallics, which also count as neutrals), but it looks good on quite a lot of people.

Lara2 · 22/12/2013 18:16

Yes, YABU - it should be zebra print!
Xmas Grin
Wear what you want!

brandyandsummergloves · 22/12/2013 18:23

I love leopard print and wear it quite bit. I don't even care about the Bet Lynch connection. I'm 52!

Lj8893 · 22/12/2013 18:56

I love leopard print!!! My dp hates it but I couldn't care less. I wear it just to piss him off, and I bought dd a gorgeous leopard print fluffy snowsuit, she looks adorable in it but dp said its "chavvy".
This coming from someone who was practically in Goldie looking chain before I met him.

Birdsgottafly · 22/12/2013 19:17

If it passed the Teen kids test, then your outfit was faultless.

You need the second or third product on this page (if my link works)

I remember Mary queen of shops (forgotten her name) saying too much mammal print can be ageing but snakeskin and other reptile print makes you look younger Hmm

3lovelykids · 22/12/2013 22:40

Haha birds think I might get myself that tshirt!!! Do they do it in leopard print ? Grin

Leopard print is my favourite, I think it is very glam and timeless. Love it. Some people don't know when to put the filters on their mouths . Ignore !

meganorks · 22/12/2013 22:46

Personally I think there is a very small window where leopard print works. I thunk its aging on 35+ and just weird on kids. But clearly no one else agrees so go for it!

FreudiansSlipper · 22/12/2013 22:49

sounds like what i shall wear nye i have lots of leopard print

i love leopard print she was being twatish

ComposHat · 22/12/2013 23:02

I like leopard skin, if it's good enough for Rod Stewart and Bet Lynch it is good good enough for anyone.

Freddiefrog · 22/12/2013 23:06

I love leopard print and wore an outfit a bit like yours sounds out on Friday night.

I quite often wear it but I think you have to be careful that you're wearing it, rather than it wearing you if you see what I mean

AuntieBrenda · 23/12/2013 09:03

I love leopard. There's leopard wallpaper in the next catalogue but DH won't let me have it in our bedroom. The bastard.

BlueStonesBells · 23/12/2013 09:09

If you like it, wear it and stuff what she thinks. However ... I think you have to be extremely careful wearing animal prints - they can be a bit ageing in my (to be fair, hardly expert) view.

The way you wore it sounded quite stylish, though.
