People who have a baby and within two days are up and out doing toddler groups etc with older siblings. I had a difficult 1st labour followed by 3 csections so I was still in hosittal on day 3.

I've never actually met anyone like this but yes I don't know what the secret is!

Mine was a straightforward enough labour home the following morning but I definitely wasn't bustling around town!

I was up and about after both but I was panifull jealous of those who had babies who slept

My first never slept, he screamed and screamed and fought and screamed it was awful. He never slept longer than 30 minutes before his stomach crunched and his eyes flew open and the screaming began again.

My brother and another friend both had babies quite soon after and both said the words "all he does is sleep" about their babies and I felt sick with jealously, literally sick in my stomach and chest. I missed out on the first three months of his life enjoying him because all it was, was screaming, tears, stress and awfulness.

Nothing to be in awe of, it's just luck. I was one of those after my second but she was a 2 hour home waterbirth that came out in 2 pushes so it was jus pure luck in the Ease of labour.

I had stitches and bruising after number one and for days I could only be found on my sofa on a piles cushion.

I was up and about straight away and told to leave hospital 2 hours later. My dh got no paternity leave so 12 hours after giving birth I was on my own with a newborn and a 2 year old. I wish I could have stayed in hospital to be honest. I didn't want to be up and about, I wanted to stay in bed and be waited on! Do not feel jealous...trust me!

I was always up and out early with mine - couldn't wait to get out of the house to be honest.

I was always jealous of those skinny women who went into hospital looking like a broom handle with a small melon strapped to it, and came out in their size 8-10 jeans. Hmm

I worked in South Africa for a couple of years. It was a very rural and remote village.

I employed a cleaner who was out on the fields working the day after she gave birth!!

That was considered the norm. She laughed when I suggested a few weeks off

I have had two sections, so it was strictly jim jams and feeding on the sifa for a good month afterwards for me. My best friend had three babies with 11/12 mths between each one, and was up and in her jeans and out shopping within 24 hours each time.

Different strokes! Dont feel bad. Accept and embrace your own experience.
