Just been collared by the local busybody lady up the road. No reason other than to complain at me because someone's had the audacity to park their car out on the road opposite her house. She lives up the lane by the school. It's not blocking anyone in in any way. I suppose it might be awkward if two lorries happened to come along at exactly the same time but that's about it. She said it's always been understood that no one is to park outside residents houses. Um, right next to a primary school. 
So I very politely, as diplomatically as I could muster, said well you might be on dodgy ground there as technically it's a public road and not really legally your property. She stormed off! I think I might have upset her. 
Disclaimer - she is a busybody and will rant at any one at any time about anything. She is wearisome and time consuming. I was polite and quite frankly I couldn't give a shit. I have a busy day and better things to think about.
