Ok feel a bit self conscious having an entire thread! But to those on the meningitis thread an update.

After getting a little anxious my lovely SIL (a GP) has come to see her, I hadn't wanted to call her before as she's 6 months pg and didn't want her to catch anything. She did Hmm at me and asked how many bugs did I think she was exposed to in a working day Blush.

Anyway dd2 is sucking her tummy in as she has a whistle on breathing in (out?) So diagnosis bronchiolitis. She's ok but to use an inhalor (family of asthmatics) And if the sucking in gets worse overnight she advises I take her in/call her.

OOH GP also called back and said thats fine as there isn't a treatment but any change they want her straight in.

So all is okish but I wasn't worrying over nothing.

I haven't read the other thread. However, you should feel you have to justify your worries. By the time my pfb was ten weeks old, she had seen a doctor 10 times! Only three of those times were routine appointments. She had colic and cried all day. I couldn't quite believe that the screaming wasn't caused by something sinister so took her over and over again in the hope that they would find out what was wrong. At ten weeks, they diagnosed a active sensitivity and prescribed 'Colief'. I think they got sick of seeing me! Hope your little one us ok. Thanks

Agree with prev poster, if youre worried esp at that age, get it checked. I always think youll never regret checking if youre worried, but you might regrey not checking.
