To be so happy that OH and both sons are out tonight?

First tine in about 3 years! A Saturday night with the whole house to myself. I love them are dearly but nice hot bath, gin and tonic, rubbish telly, no questions, no requests, candles lit.

I spent all morning cleaning, the afternoon both me and OH decorated the house, then early evening we all did the tree and then they all went to their various social events :-)

OH, bless him said, do you want me to stay with you? ...... Erm no!

I never seem to get rid of all of mine at the same time.

Last night DH was out but both kids were here, tonight both kids are at sleepover with friends and DH is here.

Will have to insist they synchronise better so I can safely indulge in shite telly that I would he embarrassed to be caught watching

Not gone out together, but bizarrely all on their firms Xmas nights out! Youngest only part time, but still out.

I am in bed now, the wind and rain is howling but I am about to curl up and finish my book. Will take until about midnight I reckon, but doubt they will be home by then.

My OH and the DDs are out tonight. Ive been an absolute slob, had a relaxing bath as opposed to my usual quick shower, and Ive been in my dressing gown most of the day. Snacking. Playing music to my taste only. Singing along to Smooth Radio. Pissing around on Mumsnet whilst spinning my head round every few mins to watch Kevin Costner in Robin Hood. The peace is glorious...! I love them all to bits but its very rare I get the house to myself. Theyll be back soon..ah well
