I know enough to avoid Blurred Lines but I don't really know what kids are dancing to these days. I really don't want any dodgy lyrics.

One very popular song is 'what does the fox say?'.

The lyrics are innocuous, but it results in a crowd of kids apparently yelling "what, for fxxx sake?"

perhaps not the effect you wanted.

iheartdusty · 14/12/2013 11:42

if you look for radio versions of songs, most of them will be ok so far as explicit lyrics go. That doesn't rule out vile attitudes such as 'blurred lines', though.

Rizzlekicks are popular round here.

Well, anything by Miley Cyrus, obviously Grin

northlight · 14/12/2013 12:47

Thanks for these suggestions and warnings.

I will ask the kids miaow

Heartbroken, no Miley, no way and if any child dares twerk... I remember when Minipops caused outrage in the 80s, now pre teens in make up and adult style clothes are commonplace.

Anything One Direction
Hey Brother
Royals (by Lorde)
Roar (Katy Perry)

Greythorne · 14/12/2013 12:59

Gangnam Style is still popular with the young set round here.
