To ask what you wax?

It's Christmas party season, I went to get my lower legs waxed, the new woman said I do a great deal for full leg and bikini, so I said yes.
I thought I was going to die.
A bikini isn't just a tidy up anymore.
She took the whole lot of and picked my whole leg up to get "any strays between your legs!"
Afterwards she did my TOES.
Am I a yeti?

How much does it cost per year to be hair free through waxing? Sorry, just nosey...

The only time I had a bikini wax the beautician didn't hold my skin taught and it fucking hurt, bled, and didn't take all the hair off. She must've been a trainee.

I let it all grow now and trim occasionally. I epilate legs and underarms. Actually need to do it tonight.

Nothing any more as got soooo fucking sick of it so have opted for laser, I used to have whole leg & tidy up on bikini though.

Everything I used to wax is lasered. Didn't hugely hurt and never grows back. Don't care what others do but in anticipation of the regular posters calling ohs paedophiles if we remove hair or that we are so thick we are only doing what porn tells us, will say fuck the fuck off in advance.

I get my lip (I have PCOS) and bikini done. I can't have my legs waxed because they're super sensitive. I've tried a few times, popped some pain pills a bit beforehand and nothing takes the edge off :S

I find I can get bikini and a landing strip done without issue, but I just can't get that front part done. Had it done once, hurt like a SOB so never again. I do like all the "under" hair gone.

Undies always come off. I had it done most recently at a new place and she wanted me to wear a g-string (a disposable version like disposable gloves in that packet) which not only embarrassed me because I was used to doing without and being made to wear that piece of crap made me feel like a disgusting person for even THINKING about going undie-less, but also was completely redundant given what I wanted done.

As for toes, yep, but I shave them like I do my legs.

i am soon to be single after a ten-year relationship. showers take MUCH less time without all the attendant epilation.

I'm a right hairy Mary so like to get a full leg and Brazilian (and toes Confused) shaving my legs makes then really itchy and I end up scratching until the bleed so waxing is so much more pleasant. I don't even find it very painful - lower legs is the worst. A couple of paracetamol before hand helps too Smile

For whoever wanted to know the price to have a hairfreebikini line.ilive in a small town so bikini line(all off) is £9 but I give her £11. I get that done every three weeks. I get my legs, underarms and brows done every 6 weeks. Legs, brows etc plus my bikini costs £20. When I lived in the city it cost £30+ just for a Hollywood.Confused

I have my lower legs, bikini line, underarms, eyebrows threaded, upper lip, and they always do my toes! I asked why she was doing that the first time and she showed me the strip! Eww- I never go down there so I didn't know!

I once had a Hollywood but my bf who was quite keen at the thought regretted it:) so did I, looks awful growing back and itchy.

The lady who does mine told me to buy a beard trimmer and just trim pubic hair you don't want off, to stop straggly bits. And to bring your bikini for just before hols.

Its a chore but I like going, uses a black wax and it doesn't hurt! Or maybe I am used to it now.

i used to work as a beauty therapist and most customers if they had their legs waxed would have their big toes waxed too. it is very painful apparently Grin

times have changed i was only asked once to wax all foofoo hair a landing strip was considered unusual thankfully

I've come back fir advice! I've got 3 pus filled spots in my bikini area! They're red and swollen with white heads and they HURT!
What shall I do?!

i'm old too, kingcrimson. I think its an indication of what's wrong with the world today. its a porn-generated fashion which women justify by saying they want to feel 'clean', 'tidy', or they don't want hair in the way when they receive oral sex. i think they are volunteering for abuse, but each to her own.

i wax odd bits of my face occasionally but I'm no good at it so i go to be threaded. now there's a pain to enjoy...

I shave my legs, toes! and underarms. Have my bikini line waxed professionally (high leg - nothing more) and wax my own upper lip.

I opted for the bikini wax as my skin reacted badly to shaving and it lasts longer. I do it for me. If I don't I find it rubs and the skin gets sore. I always feel so much better after I've been to the salon. I don't find it hurts and only takes 10 minutes.

Sister, sounds like ingrown hairs. Did your waxer apply the lotion afterwards which prevents them? For the life of me now I cant remember the name of the stuff, but it stings a bit, so im sure you will know if she did. Someone will come along with a bit better advise... I have only ever had one, I just tweezered it and out came this pretty long hair and it was all ok after that...

Infact I just went for my Hollywood all off wax this morning. I cannot tell you how much better I feel now. I hardly think im volunteering for abuse rabbitlady. I like it, dh likes it, but its not for him, its just an added bonus that he does really. Yes it hurts a bit, I find the worst bit is her getting a grab of the first bit of hot wax to pull off. Then when it off, its over... But its not painful enough to stop me going again..

I shave my legs and toes though, as I found the hair grows back too quick on legs, but in the lady parts I can go full 6 weeks.

Have only one grey hair that grows from my top lip that I can see and a long one that grows from my chin. I cut them off when necessary.
I have no other hair that needs waxing and never waxed my body/legs in my life.

My upper lip - and that's it. I refuse to put myself through an expensive regular pain/itchy regrowth/bristle cycle - so the rest I shave or immac when needed. DH couldn't care less either way, and neither of us like the weirdy pre-pubescent look on adults.

God I find shaving more of an abuse to my skin than waxing! If I shave my legs they get so sore and itchy I scratch and break the skin and it's unbearable. I love waxing as it doesn't really hurt (no where near as bad as the itching from shaving) and it lasts a long time. As I've been having it for years a lot of the hair grows back much slower if at all as well.

In terms of bikini area I like to have a Brazilian or Hollywood occasionally but it's because I like it, DH doesn't care a jot what's going on down there hair wise.

Epilate my lower legs and armpits because I can reach them. I have my bikini line and arsecrack waxed because I can't. I'd be majorly pissed off if the waxer took more hair off than we'd discussed. The fact that he didn't discuss it with you first means she's incompetent.

Drat! Just somehow lost a long reply!!!! Long story short, I get all my bikini bits waxed; front, underneath and all the way back. No underwear, my waxer and I are on very good terms!

I do it for me, though my DH loves it too. It certainly get a LOT of appreciation!!!! I don't think I'm weird and I'm certainly not inviting abuse, I don't watch porn either.

I love the clean, smooth feel and I'd still get it done if single. Been getting the whole lot off for 6 years now, I can't ever see me going back to being furry.

It hurts like hell, even with loads of painkillers, but it's worth it, to me. I don't comment on people who choose to retain theirs, or say that's weird. Each to their own!

I have a mini pedi every three weeks or so and she does my toes then, occasionally have my eyebrows waxed whilst I am there. I shave my legs and underarms. How much does lasering cost? I don't like the thought of having to allow hair to grow back so that you can have it waxed again - seems pointless to me .
