I have seen one this week that says 'Toy Unloading Zone'. That was it. No mention of Santa or anything. Not really the spirit is it?

AIBU to think that's a bit Hmm, or am I turning into my Mum?

I would link but I can't actually find one for sale. Confused

Dd is six and gets cross if they don't say please on them. She says rude children don't get presents. Think we may have overdone the manners thing with her!

HoFuckingHoFuckingHoneydragon · 11/12/2013 23:34

Oh yay. I have something objectionable Grin

I have a very tall skinny snowman with a plaintive sad wobbly lollipop stop sign for Santa. His hat jingles. He has a tall skinny Santa too for company.

Their bell ends jingle when its windy.

I loves them.

Sparklingbrook · 12/12/2013 06:51

That sounds miles better than 'Toy Unloading Zone' Honey, and extra points for jingly hat. Smile

YY to 'Please' Row your DD is right.

I saw one of them last year - I think it's quite funny. I would raise a wry sympathetic smile .

I've 3 daughters, the highlight of Christmas to them is toys ( & their nativity plays). They're sweet, funny, generous, smart, lovely kids but Christ on Boxing morning our living room does look like a Smyths lorry exploded.

PMSL at the Celtic/Celtic FC confusion :o I thought it was non football related too :o

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 12/12/2013 07:20

Ooooh - I've just remembered it must be time to put the antlers on my car!

Sparklingbrook · 12/12/2013 07:24

I imagined some beautiful Celtic artwork Doesnt. Blush

Antlers? Noooooo.

The first year I saw them I couldn't believe anyone would be so tacky as to buy one and actually be chavvy enough to put it outside their house. As someone has said already, Father Christmas knows where all the children live. So why those embarrassing 'Santa Stop here' signs ? What is wrong with people ?

It smacks of, 'me first' tbh

Catsize · 12/12/2013 07:34

I don't like them at all.

GhettoPrincess001 · 12/12/2013 07:35

DLTSDO - now that I can forgive as I think they're great !

puntasticusername · 12/12/2013 07:51

Our sign says "Be naughty, and save Santa the trip!"

sashh · 12/12/2013 08:12

Rowgtfc72

Your dd is right.

WinterWinds · 12/12/2013 11:05

I agree that a "Santa Stop Here" sign does in fact encourage burglars, I found this out when the fuckers stole the bloody sign......Twice!! Grin

I gave up after that!

Sparklingbrook · 12/12/2013 12:56

Shock Winter.

I'm Just thankful that they only took the signs and didn't attempt to get into the house!

Xmas2013MN7256 · 12/12/2013 15:29

MinesAPintOfTea · 12/12/2013 15:34

I've seen worse... A 4 year old girl wearing a t shirt on a non uniform day saying, ' Dear Santa... GIMME' what a lovely sentiment...
