To think that changing your NN to take a pop at someone...

XmasLogAndHollyOn · 06/12/2013 08:49

Makes you a giant stinky chicken shit.

Seriously. Huge example of this yesterday. Someone changed their NN just to have a go at someone else. Not only that, but they even made their new NN well snidey to match what they thought of the other poster.

Seriously folks. If you want to argue with someone, or bitch at someone or kvetch about someone, at least have the strength of character to do it in your usual NN.

Changing to a snide name to make snide comments makes you look like Queen Cunt of Cuntington, and makes you lose any of the moral high ground that you may be sitting on in your head.

Its childish, its cowardly and it makes you a giant stinky chicken shit.

Xmas Shock Whaaaaaaaaat?!? Am in utter denial about this btw. There are two of them to get out fgs
SugarHut · 06/12/2013 10:48

Yep. Namechanging (with the exception of a very few circumstances) just shows someone has not one piece of backbone. And it's obvious to all.

Sparklingbrook · 06/12/2013 10:50

YY OlivaMN, I know for a fact that twins always come out sideways holding hands. Wink

ExitPursuedByAChristmasGrinch · 06/12/2013 10:50

Oh Olivia. Have you been dragged in to mind us all. Are the rest at the Christmas party?

Olivia, my twins came out holding hands and skipping 2 days after Christmas very bad bloody planning. Grin

ZingSweetPea · 06/12/2013 11:02

Olivia

I'm pretty sure that twins are born cuddling each other and you need to push both heads out at the same time.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 06/12/2013 11:06

You two are taking a risk winding up a heavily pregnant HQer. All those hormones and still having access to that big red button...

they wouldn't let a pregnant woman be in charge of the banhammer ABF. That would be dangerous.

Olivia i hope someone else is producing Christmas for you this year.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 06/12/2013 11:14

Dangerous but maybe kinda productive...

Wink
Anjou · 06/12/2013 11:24

YANBU. Some people are just dicks.

Other than to protect their modesty when talking about something sensitive, or to protect their identity when perhaps too many personal details have been given out, why do people name change at all? Genuine question. Doesn't it mean that anyone you're friendly with on here doesn't recognise you any more? Or do you tell everyone who you used to be?

ZingSweetPea · 06/12/2013 11:25

"Message deleted coz you wound me up when heavily pg, Olivia"

that'd be great! I dare you!
Grin

mrsjay · 06/12/2013 11:26

some people dont really like familularity (sp) that is why they name change a bit, which is fair enough,

Anjou · 06/12/2013 11:27

That's a fair point, mrsjay. I hadn't considered that.

Fakebook · 06/12/2013 11:31

Someone used to do this to me and even went to the trouble of making a thread about me under another NN once. I haven't seen the person for a long time now, maybe she namechanged again. Pathetic people.

bragmatic · 06/12/2013 11:33

Olivia, I had my two the old fashioned way and it was as easy as falling off a log. Well. Not quite.

I felt like Wonder Woman after.

One of them is bothering me at the moment. Wearing my high heels and naice frock.

Balaboosta · 06/12/2013 11:33

Good to see the word "kvetch" in a post. Perfectly sums up the spirit of AIBU!
