He wakes up several times a night at the moment and seems to be feeding for several hours on end while I read the same page of my book over and over. Also, he's decided that 5am is an appropriate time to start the day and that naps are for wimps. It is nearly 8pm and the closest he's come was a power nap while I was breastfeeding. He is officially the Energiser Baby.

He spent the last two hours before DH got home wailing disconsolately into my shoulder whilst fisting the skin of my neck with his razor sharp nails.

I love him dearly, but am afraid as soon as DH walked through the door I popped DS into his arms and disappeared upstairs with the wine and told him where he could find the formula.

That was an hour ago and I now I feel slightly guilty. DH works hard. Should I report back for duty?

You do realise that all the pedants on here will read your title as referring to sexual intercourse? And you really shouldn't be posting whilst doing that!

But - slightly more to the point - enjoy the recharging. Go back to the fray when you're ready, but probably soonish. DH sounds like a good'un. Get stuck not the wine (and whine?) together.

It sounds like you need to recharge your batteries, and why not? Lie back and enjoy your warm bath and wine. Let dad and son enjoy their 'boy' time together. Here's another glass and another .

DH has just come past the bathroom door with a clean babygro, and has informed me that DS's arse has just exploded.

I think I might have the rest of the bottle after all...

I'm insanely, insanely jealous.

Currently pregnant and in AGONY with back ache - I am at this moment lying flat on the floor, the only position that doesn't seem to hurt, whilst waiting for the water to heat up so I can have a bath. Very, very jealous of the wine....

Wine was drunk, alas not very much of it as some bugger drank most of it last week. Can't think who that might have been...

DS is now sleeping soundly next to me (before I get attacked by the drinking and cosleeping brigade, I am depressing sober, as I have been every night for the last year). He's had half a bottle and topped up on the boob so hopefully I'll get a few hours kip before the night feed marathon starts...

Lovely DH is in the spare room as he's up at 5am. I regaled him with a very off key performance of Thank You Very Much from Scrooge (which was on the telly when I was breastfeeding out of reach of the remote - fatal error - earlier on today) when I emerged from the bathroom. Didn't attempt the dance though.

Half a bottle of formula, not !

(BTW, I think part of the reason I read the smutty version of the title - other than having a filthy mind - was sheer envy of a bath big enough for two)
