To want to go up the street and rearrange the lights (lighthearted)

Symmetry. Thats all I ask.
The bloke across the road has decorated his bush, it looks like it vomited a rope light. There is no pattern to its presence, it's just there, irritating me. There are a few down the road as well, lights just hung with no thought to bloody symmetry.

Ladies, if you must light up your bushes then do it with some thought!

WIBU to sneak out under cover of darkness and rearrange everything until it's symmetrical. Xmas Grin

Can you sort mine out please? I'm rubbish with it. I do try but I have no talent.

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 02/12/2013 17:06

You want to be careful, you don't want to be done for unsolicited bush tampering!

GhostsInSnow · 02/12/2013 17:07

DD agrees, she can come with me. If we both get done for bush tampering I'll point the finger at her. Unless I meet a nice officer who shares my views on light symmetry Grin

Nope I am totally with you on this one. It takes me ages to do the outside lights as they have to be perfect!!

That rope light would make me twitch!!! Grin

clam · 02/12/2013 17:41

That has got to be the most shite light display I've ever seen.

Snozwanger · 02/12/2013 17:44

They could have at least attempted a swirl shape of some sort.

JinglingRexManningDay · 02/12/2013 17:47

I am half tempted to write Fuck You on my bush in lights because the neighbour across the road was caught trying to siphon petrol out of my car.

GhostsInSnow · 02/12/2013 17:54

Thank god it's not just me. It is making me twitch. It's a beautifully manicured bush but it does look like its vomited a rope light.

Part of me wants to go and make 2 big boobs out of it.

Yup that made my insides squirm - you must fix it!

youbethemummylion · 02/12/2013 18:06

It is your public duty to go under cover.of darknedd to fix those lights! It probably would look better if the bush had vomitted the lights!

DameFanny · 02/12/2013 18:16

I may be misremembering, but didn't the virus in "Outbreak" look like that?

Tilly333 · 02/12/2013 18:22

OMG I have a similar problem - only its the council lights for our village. They are a mish mash of all sorts and end and start outside our house on the two lampposts. One a string of lights one a tree shape of lights. Of course you may say it's nice to have any freebies from the local council - but to be honest I just want uniformity and harmony not multi-coloured mix. It's stressing me out and does not match my lovely co-ordination in the house.
Poor me Xmas Sad

Brittabot · 02/12/2013 19:43

Why would anyone go to the bother of getting the lights out to do that sort of display? YANBU!

stickysausages · 02/12/2013 19:46

Hee hee!

Finola1step · 02/12/2013 20:40

I'm with you. So far, so god on my road. But if I saw such half hearted attempts, I would be very tempted to hoik my bosom whilst muttering "Well if you can't be bothered doing it properly, don't bother". I won't (because I am not my Nan) but it would be ever so tempting to re arrange your neighbour's lights just a little bit each time you walk past. A few bulbs here and there. Just a quick bush fiddle each day to keep the spirits up.

Finola1step · 02/12/2013 20:41

So good not so god!

GhostsInSnow · 02/12/2013 20:44

Problem is he lives bottom end of the cul de sac and I have no excuse to walk past. Plus, after the 'incident' we don't talk about with the neighbour across the road they already think I'm a bit batty down that end of the street I think Blush

I might ask the postie to covertly move them, I get on well with him, he'll do my dirty work for me hah
