Just found out tonight dh has been buying coins off ebay for a silly computer game wasting money

He's been busted

Tonight I've been busy ebaying selling thems to get a bit of money together
Clicked on purchase history to see if I could find the details of a maternity dress I bought a few months ago, anyway
What do I find on purchase history ???

Dh has been buying coins for a computer game
Basically cheating
Pathetic
And to top it off he purchased these six DAYS after I have had a baby!
And had a c section !

My issues are
What a waste of money
What an idiot cheating
What a Pratt doing it six days after WE have just had a newborn baby and I've had major surgery having a c section

The world doesn't stop when you have a baby, and a CS is irrelevant, surely?
I used the internet after I gave birth. Dunno if I bought anything. Probably some baby related crap that I didn't need.
Fine you're trying to raise money... but how necessary is it, does he know about it?
It's a bit weird to get funny about cheating - his choice, it's just a game. Makes you sound so contemptuous of him, hence thinking there is more to it...?

Context is all.
If you're literally scraping for money for the meter, and have agreed together to seriously economise, he's taking the piss.

If this is just his pastime and his spends, it's his choice.

I totally don't get what the timing has to do with it.

If there's more to it, maybe repost more detail in Relationships?

Over reacting much, millions of women have CS but dont expect their partners to refrain from doing things. A few pounds from his salary on something that he enjoys is hardly cause for the outrage, name calling and a post on MN!

I felt totally contemptuous of my ex when he signed up to a fiver a month from his account to RSPCA on doorstep.
Sounds ridiculous?
The reality: I was angry that he was sleeping with prostitutes. I couldn't help but snarl - was the collector a young female? (yes) And I had to rub in that he was stupid because not all would go to the charity.
The action was perfectly reasonable, but my anger was all on the backstory.

Hence thinking you have a backstory.

You don't like this man, if you accuse him like this of cheating at the game, I think.

Massively missing the point most of you.

Its not the OP being precious about having a CS its about her DH wasting money when she is scratting around trying to make a few pounds asthey are skint. Even £3 wasted when you are seriously broke is a lot.
For him to be doing it when they should both be quietly geting to know the new born & helping each other out is seriously taking the piss.

And as for Playstation leave... again, what is the backstory, the context? If he's treating pat leave like a holiday whilst you struggle after an op - bad. If he's just having some leisure time... how is that different to you being on mumsnet?

I'm not trying to be mean, genuinely - I'm trying to get at the point, in case there's a real issue we can help you talk about. Because on what you've said so far, it's a bizarre over reaction.
