I'm an occasional lurker on here, rarely post, but have had some time off work and have been lurking a little more...

Some of the stuff that people ask and check on is unreal..

Honestly, I'm amazed some people can breathe on their own without checking in first!

Time to go back to not lurking very often I think!

Yes you should Ledkr, and you have a Christmas themed rind, maybe a santa head or maybe a sleigh bell attached

that would chase the rellies away ledkr Grin

the threads I hate are the "we're having this on xmas day, theres 5 of us is it enough" then they write a list of food that would keep a third world country going for years

I mean jesus wept

justmakingdo · 01/12/2013 10:06

I think I best stay away over Christmas, I might end up destroying my laptop through irritation....!

ssd · 01/12/2013 10:07

Ledkr · 01/12/2013 10:09

I hate the "what's for dinner" or "what are you wearing today" threads, I mean seriously?

Ledkr · 01/12/2013 10:10

Sparklingbrook · 01/12/2013 10:10

Ledkr · 01/12/2013 10:15

It's lovely isnt it? I'm watching the corrie omnibus and drinking tea.
Pil are faffing about with their anal breakfast at the table.

Ledkr · 01/12/2013 10:15

justmakingdo · 01/12/2013 10:19

So are you really getting pierced Ledkr?

I think the genital area is the one place I would avoid! Sounds too painful!

ssd · 01/12/2013 10:30

Ledkr · 01/12/2013 11:08

Yes "dd has a temperature of 900 what shall I do?"

Bettercallsaul1 · 01/12/2013 11:27

I hear a burglar upstairs stairs at the moment. There is a noise which is unquestionably him rifling through the drawer where great aunt Matilda's heirloom emerald necklace is hidden.

What should I do?

RalphGnu · 01/12/2013 11:32

I'm sorry, anal breakfast?

"I can't decide how to eat my breakfast. Should I use my mouth in the traditional manner or shake things up a bit by shoving bits up my jacksy?"

LineRunner · 01/12/2013 11:42

I use turkey mince in spaghetti bolognese. Healthier.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 01/12/2013 11:45

Please do go back to lurking if this is the best you can come up with when you do post Wink

TheGreatWizardQuiQuaeQuod · 01/12/2013 11:50

I don't think they do, really.

I've always assumed it was not actually consulting as in giving a vote to Grin but just chatting, tossing ideas about, getting views but ultimately making your own decision.

I would be quite alarmed for someone if they made a decision that they didn't believe was right, because some randoms on the internet told them to. That would be a really odd thing for someone to do.

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 01/12/2013 12:29

bragmatic

I normally sit to clean my bottom.
what about you?

I actually made a decision all by myself to clean it - clever or what?Grin

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 01/12/2013 12:32

milkonesugar

take no notice of people whining.
ask away.

if someone gets annoyed by a question they have the option of not answering.

I find people getting annoyed by absolutely everything way more annoying than most questions.

Borntorun25 · 01/12/2013 13:34

I asked a question like the ones that annoy OP recently, hadn't ever been in the position of needing to leave DCs ( 9 and 11) home alone before, and didn't really need to this time, just wanted a run! Kind of thought they were probably borderline old enough and sensible enough but just wasn't sure so it was really helpful to find out what other people thought. Totally agree that every child/ situation is individual but it is still useful to garner general opinions to find out if you are totally off the mark, especially if something you haven't done before. I found it really helpful. Would be a shame if posters had to worry about whether others thought their concerns were too trivial.
If the question annoys you you don't have to answer. There are plenty of other threads out there.

Grin at anal breakfast! Still laughing at mental image.

Ledkr · 01/12/2013 17:40

You know what I meant!
You've sent me into a spluttering coughing fit though because I'm laughing so much.
