I'm an occasional lurker on here, rarely post, but have had some time off work and have been lurking a little more...

Some of the stuff that people ask and check on is unreal..

Honestly, I'm amazed some people can breathe on their own without checking in first!

Time to go back to not lurking very often I think!

Stick with us Maryz. I have amaretto.

Bettercallsaul1 · 01/12/2013 00:54

To be or not to be?

Bettercallsaul1 · 01/12/2013 00:56

What is the answer?

Bettercallsaul1 · 01/12/2013 00:57

Sorry, that was too trivial.

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 01/12/2013 01:05

MaryZ

despite sound advice you went to bed, didn't you?

IfIDontSnowAndYouDontSnow · 01/12/2013 01:59

So glad this thread has started.

I was just sitting here thinking what to have for dinner tomorrow.

IfIDontSnowAndYouDontSnow · 01/12/2013 02:03

fuckwittery Yes you should.

AgentZigzag · 01/12/2013 02:15

Did I miss the answer as to whether I'm alright to breathe on my own?

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 01/12/2013 08:14

I still don't know what my response should be.

just having a poo. should I clean my bottom or not?Confused

bragmatic · 01/12/2013 08:17

The question, DoesZingetc, is do you stand up or sit down to clean it….

MilkOneSugar · 01/12/2013 09:08

Oh, I might be guilty of doing this Blush.

I suffer from anxiety and even small decisions sometimes feel overwhelming. But I'm aware that to call a friend to ask would be a bit odd. MN is really useful for that as I guess posters can just ignore the thread if they find it too trivial.

I am becoming a bit reliant on MN for this kind of thing but I will do my best to stop doing it so much if it's annoying.

Ah, I'm a lonely loner do if need advice I come here. Still do my own thing anyway Grin

Am I ok to breathe out yet?

MrsSteptoe · 01/12/2013 09:35

MilkOneSugar I think it's only annoying the OP. I'd prefer to think that you'd keep doing it out of sheer cussedness.

justmakingdo · 01/12/2013 09:38

Oh turkey cobbler sounds good!!

Ive tried meatballs before with turkey and they weren't that good (and wasn't fussed on a tomato based sauce with turkey), but with pork mince they may work!

My daughter also suggested a "shepherds pie" type dish with leeks and mushrooms and a white sauce, so may try that as well (I have two packs LOL)

Thankyou!

I agree!!!!!!!!!! Definitely!!!!!! No unreasonableness at all!!

Scarletohello · 01/12/2013 09:39

I like tapping into the communal wisdom that is MN. I recently wanted to get rid of some cosmetic products and so posted here and was told about a charity that donates these products to women's refuges. Was so glad to be able to help in that way and wouldn't have known about it otherwise!

justmakingdo · 01/12/2013 09:45

I wasn't talking about stuff like getting rid of cosmetics etc Scarlet, that was good with finding a charity

The main ones which have annoyed me intensely are the ones which are asking "Am I ok to leave my 8/9/23yo alone for 5/10 hours while I do xxxx"

We, as a bunch of strangers do not know these children
The OP does
A 10yo can be quite capable of being left, a 15yo may not be

You cannot ask strangers, they cannot tell you the answer

Its simple

If you trust your child then do it
if you don't, then don't

Ultimately if something happens you will be responsible
