AIBU to ask you to consider giving blood today especially Scottish MNers

The supplies are needing replenished after the helicopter crash into the Clutha pub in Glasgow last night. If you can squeeze some time into your day to donate blood it would be great. The Glasgow centre is in Nelson Mandela place.

Where is this appeal?

Because Blood Service was saying an hour or two ago that there was no need for additional donors today.

Yes, it's really important to give blood it you can, so that stocks are always good. But there might not be a rush to do it today.

You're right there's no need to panic but as a regular doner anyway I called them this morning and they're not overburdened and would be glad of a donation. I'm going into town anyway and it only adds about an hour to the trip to pop in and give.

My blood isn't acceptable due to a condition I have but i will spread the word to everyone i know.

I couldn't give today as I have massive headache but I am due to donate so will go next week. I am B negative which is 2nd rarest type x
