Been looking for work for a few months now and i'm really struggling!

I'm thinking about taking the last place on a dental nurse apprenticeship course which starts on Monday, it's a lot of money though so i'm umming and aahing!

The job does appeal to me, i was just after some opinions if people enjoy it or not?

Also i need to find a job in a dentists whilst i study but i've been looking for 2/3 days a week at moment, what are the chances of me finding a part time position?

I've been a dental nurse in a general dental practice and in a specialist orthodontic practice and for the most part it was interesting and enjoyable, but (in my opinion) it does depend very much on who you work with and how well you get on with them.

WRT making this decision, have you called round the dental practices in your area and asked them what they think of the apprenticeship - whether they would recommend it as a route into the job, or whether they'd recommend getting a job as an unqualified dental nurse and then going to college to get your qualifications - and whether they'd be able to offer part time work if you do decide on the apprenticeship?

No I haven't yet, I've spoken to the course providers and they have a customer service team who help you find a job once you start the course!

It does start again in March so I'm thinking maybe wait till then and send out letters/cv and my plans for the course and see if I have any joy that way
