I asked where the iPad was, he lied and said it was in his office and then wouldn't let me stay while he 'looked' for it - he was obviously embarrassed that I'd caught him. Is it just me or is that disgusting??? I don't want it now. He says he wasn't using it, was just carrying it when he needed to go to the loo but wtf? Why not leave it in the office/the lounge/wherever he was using it? Yuk.

We've all had our tablets for a year now doing this and I haven't noticed any increase in illness among the five of us.

No different to taking a magazine/book though. Providing he didn't use it after he'd wiped his bum I'm guessing there's no harm done.
I'd clean it before he gave it to me to use though...

YABU - I don't see what the problem is? What are you worried is going to happen? I assume he didn't actually intend to poo on the device itself and that he washed his hands after finishing his business before handling the iPad again?

Sometimes a person needs some entertainment if they anticipate being on the loo for some time....

Urgh. I'd never take an ipad into the loo. My kindle fire however....

I poo and mn on my phone, why is it disgusting ? I put it down to wipe, don't hold it in between wipes.

I don't really see it as a big deal - surely it's not different to bringing a book/newspaper/magazine in there with you although adults who do this are quite strange IMO, especially when they leave them in there in a neat pile for guests to see

We all carry our tablets into the loo. We don't wipe our bums on the cases though, we use toilet paper and wash our hands.

What are you frightened is going to happen? Bum germs are going to leap out of the toilet and stick to the screen? Then when you next lick the screen you will get bum germs in your mouth?

Gross. It's like the never have the toothbrush near the toilet because of splash particles from the flush. Where do those who take phones etc into the bathroom put them when you flush? I bet plenty of blokes just put it on the cistern.

When i've done a poo i put the toilet seat down so the 'splash particlues' (which shall be henceforth known as 'bum germs') can't get out and stick to my toothbrush/tablet/etc. Why would you not put the seat down?
