... to ask if anyone who is on linked in can access Bloor Homes Managing Director's email address to share with him the pictures of all the bodged "fixes" Bloor have subjected my new build to

Bloor Homes are still bodging "fixes" to the items on the 10 Day Occupation List... five months after we moved in! I've escalated to a Manager at the local office who put a supposed super contractor on the job to ensure no more bodges, yet I've arrived home today to yet more issues created by careless workmanship.

I've found that the Managing Director of Bloor North West (where we are) is called Steve Feneley and he's got a Linked In profile, however I haven't so if any of you kind "nest of vipers" Wink are on linked in and can get access to see his email account, I'd really appreciate it if you could get it for me.

If anyone wants to see any photos, I've enough to fill a gallery, and the accompanying story would probably win records for longest AIBU post!

Also, if anyone has had similar experiences with Bloor Homes - or any other developer - and has any helpful advice or shared tales of woe, it's be very welcome.

Thanks

*it'd, not it's! You'd think I'd know better than to just hit "post" instead of "check" when I've been angrily typing!

You could set up a website. I've seen done before.

ilovesooty · 20/11/2013 19:19

You have to have a paid LinkedIn premium account to see details of people you're not connected to I believe.

MissMilbanke · 20/11/2013 19:20

Bloor homes built the best house we ever had.

Sorry… thats not very helpful for you at the moment Grin

BakingWithToddler · 20/11/2013 19:21

paxtecum thanks for the suggestion. I'm currently updating my log of issues so I can cut and paste onto a Facebook page along with photos tomorrow if I'm not satisfied with the response I get from the various people I'm going to try to get hold of tomorrow. I may also see about a website, but I'm not that technologically advanced!

MissMilbanke that's actually reassuring. I'm sure that the building itself is sound, and the layout really suits our family. Its just that we feel we'd have been better off if we'd have taken over finishing the house after the first fix stage!

ilovesooty thanks for that. I'm wracking my brains about whether anyone I know would know someone with a premium Linked In account.

I believe.

funky thank you. I've just tried that and it hasn't bounced back yet so fingers crossed we'll actually get a satisfactory response.

We are in south west . But will pass this info on to sil and bil as they moved into bloor home just before baby was born .
They have the problem that bloor homes have built their terrace of houses up on slope with about 20 steps to houses and no wheelchair or pushchair ramp front or back :(
They have complained about lack of slope which they thought was going in but they put more steps in .
complete madness !
What happens if ambulance came to get someone on stretcher .... they would have to carry them down steps first .
They could have so easily put a ramp in .
poor sil feels housebound with new baby as its so much hassle to struggle with pushchair and baby down so many steps .

CrohnicallyTired · 20/11/2013 21:01

I know this is off topic.... but furbaby has your SIL tried a sling? It was a godsend for me, I couldn't manage the pushchair myself as I had a c section, without the sling I would have been housebound. Only cost around £20 from eBay, just one of the cheap stretchy wraps.

furbaby · 20/11/2013 21:10

Thank you :) yes I will mention this to her , will hopefully make her feel a little less housebound .
just seems odd in brand new houses not to be wheelchair/pushchair friendly .
I would not be happy with this am surprised sil and bil have, nt made more of a fuss .
