NC (not for this) but I'm long-standing MNer (Pom bear, naice ham...)

This might ruin the whole concept of AIBU but sometimes people pop up with opinions that I am shocked by, not because of what they are but just because they are so marginal. (SPs Cliff Richard obsession, for example?)

So, whilst encouraging you all to go forth and spread your weird and wonderful thoughts all over AIBU and elsewhere, what really unpopular opinions do you hold?

I have a couple of corkers, first one is that Kanye West however much of a knob he is actually is a genius.

Wallison - maybe half from JSA and half from the company? With companies being limited to how many placements they can offer but companies of a certain size being legislated into participation? And of course, they're allowed to offer a job at the end of the placement if it goes well. Didn't quite work out the kinks but it should definitely be done.Grin

KoalaFace · 20/11/2013 20:10

Oh god Fleta. It's ET isn't it? You love his turdy body!

Kyrptonite · 20/11/2013 20:11

Oh and everyone on masterchef this series has a bizarre looking face.

I would do Russell Howard and Jack Whitehall.

Freddiefrog · 20/11/2013 20:11

I quite fancy Tom Cruise (thanks to Rock of Ages)

Grown women shouldn't wear Disney-branded clothing

I always though The Office was shit (and still don't "get" it)

Ditto Gavin & Stacey

England should stop entering the football World Cup and give it up as a bad job (and watching it is excruciatingly boring)

Nitty Gritty nit combs are crap

SPsWouldCatFishNev · 20/11/2013 20:11

Siblings shouldn't be bought things that other siblings weren't allowed

fucking Wendy house

marmaladeandguitars · 20/11/2013 20:11

I don't like tattoos.
I think reality TV is utterly awful, and I honestly do not understand how people can watch it.
I think that 95% of the internet is mildly entertaining crap, and humanity would probably survive without it (doesn't stop me using it)
I don't think there is anything wrong with some places being adults only (I'm looking at you, people who bring your kids into the pub for hours at the weekend, just cause you want to watch the match on the big screens)

WhatAFunnyPotato · 20/11/2013 20:13

Bradley Cooper is the world's biggest knob and horribly unattractive.
Mayonnaise is the food of the devil. Ketchup is almost as disgusting (dry boak).
Caitlin Moran is deeply, skin-itchingly irritating.
I hate all dogs. They stink. If you have one, your house stinks. It does.
I don't understand how people can eat meat. Genuinely don't get it.
Chain necklaces are hideous and make my skin crawl. Shudder.

Freddiefrog · 20/11/2013 20:13

oh, and Michael McIntyre isn't funny!!!

Puttheshelvesup · 20/11/2013 20:13

I HATE musicals, especially Andrew Lloyd Weber. If I'm ever accidentally exposed to a musical I feel excruciatingly uncomfortable and embarrassed for both the actors and the audience. Can't they see they're all making fools of themselves? Hideous!

The Beatles are not that great, neither are the Killers.

Daniel Craig is not hot at all, but Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords sets my heart racing, as does Data from The Next Generation.

I don't find men waxing off all their body hair an attractive thing in the slightest. I much prefer them au naturel. Men who are too groomed and manicured do nothing for me.

I don't like how judgemental people are about appearance and lifestyle choices. Tattoos, blue hair and piercings? Twin set and pearls? It's all good.

Jolleigh · 20/11/2013 20:13

I avoid public transport at all costs. Last time I got on a bus, some twat sneezed in my hair (and it was a very wet sneeze Envy )

TheMastersBra · 20/11/2013 20:14

Pandora bracelets are for people with no imagination.

Bumblequeen · 20/11/2013 20:14

Animals should be kept outside.
Outside shoes should not be worn inside.
Tracksuits should only be worn to the gym.
You can have a clean and tidy home even with children.

IsThatTrue · 20/11/2013 20:15

cloggal Michel roux jr is sexy!!

Finola1step · 20/11/2013 20:15

I agree with squeak. Wind turbines are beautiful.

Prince Charles will be ok as a King.

I'm not too bothered about making different meals for different people sometimes.

I find taking the kids to the park boring.

Friendship is sometimes overrated. Love being by myself.

Putting make up on when on the train makes my stomach turn.

VerySmallSqueak · 20/11/2013 20:16

There is nothing wrong with having pubic hair.

cloggal · 20/11/2013 20:16

Oooh isthattrue I definitely, definitely would.

Even though he introduces recipes in French and they sound terrifying and they turn out to be pork pie and salad cream Grin

I think Morecambe and Wise dancing with grapefruits is the least funny thing I have ever seen. Closely followd by the two Ronnies 'fork handles

Joysmum · 20/11/2013 20:16

Make up should be banned

Fleta · 20/11/2013 20:18

koalaface - that would probably be more acceptable to Mumsnet!

I hate Mary Poppins
I like playing sims 3
Blush.

silverten · 20/11/2013 20:20

Ooh yes that's a good one.

Some places should be adult-oriented in the sense that children must respect the 'rules' of the place, not be pandered to. If they can't handle it they should leave.

Eg: pubs which are not 'family' pubs with softplayhells attached. The sort that people go to these to socialise quietly. Children present should sit down and converse sensibly, and learn how to behave in such places.

Eg: museums/art galleries where some degree of thought is required to appreciate the exhibits. No running about, squealing or button-pressing allowed.

Fleta · 20/11/2013 20:20

I don't know who Mumsnet "royalty" are.
