To send ds(7) to school after an attack of hives?

Ds (7) had an almighty attack of hives out of the blue last night. No swelling or anything drastic, just total unrelenting itching for 3 hours. He then just zonked out! Fell asleep and slept soundly til 7.30 (piriton may have helped the sleep).
He's woken up with minimal itching and most of the hive marks have disappeared. I think he's ok for school, he says he's not! WWYD?

Id send him in. Tell the school to keep an eye on him. Concerning that you dont know what it is. What had he eaten?

Is he allergic to something or was this more nerve related? Is he worried about going back to school today?

I would be sending him in but trying to find out the cause of the attack

Nothing out of the ordinary! He did this a few times last year too. He had a slight sniffle so possibly related to that. I think if it happens again in the next few weeks i'll make a gp appointment. Thanks for your reply.

Well eternalstudent. He is undergoing referrals for asd adhd and ocd he is a nervous child but usually very forthcoming with his anxieties. The first question i asked was are you worried about anything ds? Although he said no.
