To eat them out of house and home?

At a kids party recently and the outlaws were there. The outlaws have a reputation for being tight as a badgers arse, particularly FIL. At said party (which was at a gym) I asked FIL if there was anywhere to get a tea, he said no, only a machine.

Forty minutes later he has gone to said machine and bought tea for him and MIL, didn't even offer me! (I would have paid for my own!)

So WIBU to go round there at Christmas, take nothing bar presents, eat them out of house and home, drink their alcohol and take all the leftovers for the cat?

What a weird thread. Why did you not get yourself a tea from the machine? He could easily of forgotten your conversation from 40 minutes earlier.

He sounds rather rude. Yes, by all means go round theirs for xmas drinks etc and fill up well. No doubt the tea from a machine was gross anyway if that is a comfort

By the way, it's not a weird thread, more a typical thread really 'having a little moan about yer in laws' Clargo55 lighten up!

I think its odd to feel this way over a cup of tea. He probably assumed you had gone and sorted yourself out with tea (i mean why wouldnt you have done if you wanted tea?Confused)

Clargo55 · 17/11/2013 17:04

Well seeing it as weird is up to the persons perspective. I do not see that they have done anything wrong. Therefore, I find this thread moaning about the 'outlaws' as weird.

I would steal his 'nice biscuits' and smuggle out a tin of rosesGrin

Tee2072 · 17/11/2013 17:09

Go for it. Ignore Clargo55. No one bought her a tea today.

Longdistance · 17/11/2013 17:17

My in laws are really tight, but fuck me, that was just plain rude too.
go ahead and stuff your pretty face on Xmas day, and then raid their cupboards.

killpeppa · 17/11/2013 17:24

grab me some brandy snaps (if the splashed the cash on some) Grin

ToucanBlack · 17/11/2013 17:37

Am I the only person who hates the fact that you can't have a cup of tea without offering every one else?

I mean if I was having a drink of water I wouldn't offer one to every one in the room? And every fucker always wants one too Angry

killpeppa · 17/11/2013 17:40

toucanblack- its rude not to offer.

its not a big deal to ask. so what if you have to make an extra one. your boiling the kettle anyway
