It was my birthday today. My DSis accidentally ordered some mince pies apparently, online, so gave them to me.

AIBU to think there's nothing wrong sitting in a Rudolph dressing gown over Christmas themed pyjamas (from last year, btw, I haven't bought any pyjamas!) eating mince pies?

DH is being a bit of a grinch and is muttering about it 'only being November'. It's only 38dys, 5hrs and about 40mins until Christmas.

Yanbu. I've finished my Xmas shopping, have eaten mince pies and seen the coca cola advert so its officially Christmas time!

CaptainSweatPants · 16/11/2013 18:21

xmas adeverts everywhere
my dc are starting to get into a frenzy of excitment already
and dd has started rehearsing for the xmas play Shock

VikingVagine · 16/11/2013 18:23

4yo DD has been watching Xmas DVDs since February. I think waiting until now is quite tame in comparison!

Mumof3xx · 16/11/2013 18:24

Why I have I not yet seen the coke ad!

Mumof3xx · 16/11/2013 18:24

*why have I

Clearly got a bit excited there

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 16/11/2013 18:25

I saw the Coke ad twice in the space of 20 minutes.

Was an overkill. Too much too soon.

Bah, humbug!!

Doghouseisscary · 16/11/2013 18:29

Well, I've been to a Christmas market today, quaffing mulled wine as I went round...

AlwaysAsleep · 16/11/2013 19:03

Quaffing mulled wine? Envy

(And your username is VERY true doghouseisscary)

It is never too early for mince pies. In fact the earlier the better as there are so many varieties to try before you can decide which is best :-)

AndyMurraysBalls · 16/11/2013 19:09

Wrote my Christmas cards this afternoon.

I am a sad old cow though.

AuditAngel · 16/11/2013 19:15

We have mince pies in the kitchen (although I don't like them) and lat night we went to see Scrooge (my son was in the cast )

I have almost finished my Christmas shopping

AlwaysAsleep · 16/11/2013 19:52

Well done to your son Audit on being in the cast!

I am quite happy to do Christmas planning & present buying. However my birthday is just before Christmas & I really resent going out for a special meal to be fed fucking turkey!!! If someone gave me mince pies for a present I'd throw them at them...

I normally go for a curry (non xmassy), however the DD's have said they want steak & chips, homecooked by DH. Sounds good to me :)
