To be annoyed with hairdresser

For cutting my hair in 5 minutes or less and charging me full price? £43 for a 5 minute haircut is taking the piss IMO. I can't even tell she's cut it Angry

YANBU.

That's ridiculous. Did she do a blow-out? (this is what we call it in the US, I know you don't call it this here).

ParsleyTheLioness · 13/11/2013 21:47

Blow-dry Crowler.

Lilacroses · 13/11/2013 21:50

Really? That is outrageous!! What on earth did she do to it in 5 mins?

songlark · 13/11/2013 21:56

This happened to me not so long ago. She spent about 5 minutes cutting then blow dried for ages to make it look like I was getting my money's worth. I couldn't tell how bad the cut was till the next day when I tried blow drying myself. Big chunks missing and the ends weren't even straight. I could have done it better myself. To say I was fuming is an understatement.

bimbabirba · 13/11/2013 21:57

Cut it half an inch at the back and that was it basically. It looked a right mess before and still does.
Suppose if I complain she's going to say that I told her I want to grow it but even so, aren't they supposed to cut half an inch all over and make a little effort to give it a shape?

Why did you pay if you weren't happy?

Lilacroses · 13/11/2013 21:59

Yes, that is awful then. Are you going to complain or go back again when you next need a haircut or avoid them next time?

bimbabirba · 13/11/2013 22:03

Why did I pay? Because although I realised she'd taken only 5 min
I thought perhaps she had done a brilliant job in that time and only
Realised it looked the same when I washes it the following day

OP posts:
bimbabirba · 13/11/2013 22:04

I think I'll phone to say I'm not happy with it

Can you call them, explain you're not happy and ask for them to take another look at it?

ilovesooty · 13/11/2013 22:12

Oh I see. In that case I'd go back and say you aren't happy. Hope you get it sorted.

songlark · 13/11/2013 22:54

When it happened to me I phoned them when I realized how bad it was and I told them about it only 5 minutes for the cut. She told me to come in for a full refund of £32. When I got there the manager said "no, can't give you a refund because I remember you and you was in the salon for at least an hour". I explained that the cutting bit was oly 5 minutes but she basically called me a liar. In the end she just offered to try and sort it out but all the time was implying that I was being a nuisance. I still get mad every time I think about it.
