If you upgrade your windows to 8.1 then please check your anti-virus my computer took 2hours to upgrade and first time I went online was getting all sorts of pop-ups so checked my anti-virus to discover that it has been deleted.

I seriously doubt Windows deleted your antivirus.

And if it took 2 hours to update, you already had a virus.

Although Win 8 sucks so why worry about it anyway?

I thought the anti virus was incorporated into Windows 8? But I use it on a tablet so maybe it's different.

I think Windows 8.1 is great. I genuinely don't understand why people can't use it now. My FIL moans about it constantly. I show him how to do something and he still says you can't do it on 8.1 even though I showed him the day before.

Well it's great for touch screens. It sucks otherwise.

I would also look out for Silverlight, my computer has been a thousand times faster since I got rid of that update.

What does silver light do? I haven't been able to figure that out yet?

From this it reads like a version of adobe flash player, which explains why flash player crashed all the fucking time when this was installed. I uninstalled silverlight, re-installed adobe flash player and I haven't had a problem since.

Yeah flashlight is microsofts version of Adobe. You need it for watching Netflix on your computer
