and have no right to get arsey about being called a racist?
To give context, man behind me in queue was complaining about someone having pushed into him and who hadn't apologised. Didn't see incident, but made sympathetic noises whilst trying to keep an eye on DC who was looking at some leftover Halloween crap further down. He then said, 'And it would be a black'un'.
Turned to him and said, 'Sorry, what did you say?'
He then said, 'I said a black person.' (His emphasis). He very definitely didn't say that first time round, and, even if he had, he was still implying that they were only rude because they were black.
I told him he was being racist. He got spluttery and arsey and said he wasn't. I replied, 'Yes, you were', paid for my stuff and left, with the vile man glowering at me the whole time.
