To complain to ASDA

More of a WWYD i suppose. Just changed my DD 8 months, and she was wearing an asda babygro. Thread from the toe seam had got wrapped around her toes really tightly, in fact I had to break one off. Now should I complain to asda or do I just put it down to experience and check more thoroughly next time? In fact check at all-is it my fault for assuming that this wouldn't happen- haven't complained yet just wondering if I should?

No harm in complaining! I don't think I'd have thought to TBH but, well, why not.

Obviously, as parents, it's our responsibility to check stuff is safe before giving it to DC. I had a similar episode with DD's toe when she was a newborn. It was one of one of my (the very long) hairs rather than cotton but same principle - toe was purple. Scary as fuck it was!

(then very long)

Read that back OP, sounds like you had to break her toe off!

I don't think id bother complaining, a thread could come loose from any garment its just one of those things isn't it?

ShatnersBassoon · 10/11/2013 15:37

Ha! It snapped her toe off and don't know whether to complain! Sorry, it really made me laugh.

No, don't complain, just check for loose threads in future. No real harm done, I don't think Grin

Hasn't happened to me but I believe this is quite a common occurrence. I wouldn't complain (and I do loveto I thethere's a good reason) just chalk it upto experience.

Oh what an eejit!! You mean they don't grow back????
My mum said to complain and I wasn't sure so I put it to the mumsnet jury to decide. I've never really thought to check- oh well lesson learnt
