I'm a family solicitor, but i'm reluctant to give advice on the internet because:
a) You can't be sure you have the whole story and I wouldn't want to give misleading info
b) I haven't actually read the thread so don't know the background
c) It's Saturday night and i have had afew glasses of wine so may not be at my most coherent Blush

That being said, if someone wants to give me a brief summary of the situation I'm happy to provide some very basic legal info if it would be helpful Smile

DoubleLifeIsALifeOfSorts · 10/11/2013 00:32

It's not really a basic situation :( its complex and awful and she needs some real expertise to get through this. Bloody hideous stuff

pigletmania · 10/11/2013 00:33

Hi this can I give you the op email address, she will fill you in on everything as she is not allowed to say too much on here as te family courts are secret as you know ad she could jeapordise her chances of supervised contact.

I will e mail my link to baby name so she can fill you in Smile. She is in a desperate situation ad could loose residency to an abusive father

Op ask for this to be deleted now please.

ThisIsMyRealName · 10/11/2013 00:41

I'm slowly making my way through the linked thread now. I understand that she can't post too much

If the OP would like to send me a PM please tell her she is free to do so and i will help as best as i can. However, there is only so much legal advice that can be given over the internet. I really wouldn't want to say too much as I could be crossing a professional line.

At the risk of asking what may be a stupid question, does the OP have a RL solicitor?

pigletmania · 10/11/2013 00:43

I think she is self representing or te one se has s not that great

Thanks Piglet. I will help if i can, though reading through the thread (i'm only on page 5) I do think the OP does need proper legal rep. (ie. someone who can speak in court).

Although i realise that is easier said than done don't get me started on fucking legal aid cuts

pigletmania · 10/11/2013 00:58

I know I think se might, she was having trouble locating a barrister who was able to represent her next week and was possibly going to sef reoresent

IneedAsockamnesty · 10/11/2013 01:07

I don't know the op's financial situation but if its under the limits she should be entitled to legal aid as the ex is currently on bail for a DV related offence against her.

Failing that Francis George (does not do LA)

www.francisgeorgesolicitor-advocate.com/

Is exerlent we use him a lot and he's based not to far away from where he needs to be. He has a massive amount of DV and CP experance and is very well respected in the court the poster is using.

pigletmania · 10/11/2013 07:35

Thanks very much sock Smile
