To be annoyed with Freecycle?

I use Freecycle regularly, mostly to give stuff away. This morning I've had an email from them saying that they had noticed I hadn't freecycled anything for a while and maybe there was something lying around that I don't need any more.

My first reaction was to be really annoyed and want to email them to tell them not to be so rude and that I would offer things as I had them and I don't appreciate the nagging. Also, many of the users are cheeky, fail to collect when organised and have a staggeringly entitled attitude.

AIBU to be so annoyed about this email?

I'd be annoyed too. I've given away on free cycle but not often, the entitled attitude of some people is shocking! Would like X must be stylish, need kitchen stuff, must be red to match what I already have?

They probably just see it as reminding you, but it could have been worded better

That would bug me too. It's rude.

I know they are just trying to drum up business like any other company, but when it's about giving stuff away, it seems a bit tasteless.

That is cheeky Shock ... I'd probably stop using free cycle if I got that email.

OP - that would annoy me too.

Some of the administrators are total knobheads. I mostly give stuff away but I once requested something. I said very clearly in the post 'I am willing to travel anywhere in the borough to pick this item up' Some dick of an administrator sent me a snooty email pointing out I had not put my postcode in the subject line. Does it matter where I live in this case? I was willing to travel.

Oh and the monthly etiquette reminders. Delete, delete, delete.
