present for Halloween party?

Hi all, this is more of a WWYD?, posted here as I need responses ASAP, I hope this is ok.

7yo DD is going to a Halloween party tonight, it's not the child's birthday, so does she bring a present? I think not but I don't want her to arrive only to discover that others have brought presents. Equally I don't want her to arrive with the present only to have the hosts feel weirded out and uncomfortable.

What a non-birthday child's party etiquette then? (when did all this become so complicated?)

maybe some halloween themed cakes or sweets?

I held a Halloween gathering, I would have found it very odd if anyone came with a present!

BigBirthdayGloom · 02/11/2013 10:24

No present, ask host if you can bring anything.

Rufus44 · 02/11/2013 10:29

When I had Halloween parties there were no presents, I wouldn't expect them.

Agree with bigbirthdaygloom

No presents! But I would take something to eat probably.

Latetothematch · 02/11/2013 10:43

I would also take food - be it a pack of cakes, some sweets etc.
