... and I therefore still have loads of yummy chocolate bars left!

Want to take bets on whether they are still in existence tomorrow morning chocolate party tonight?

It is a fact that Halloween chocolate goes off really, really quickly (nods wisely).

Every year we get at least 50 and run out of goodies . Envy

Tabby1963 · 01/11/2013 08:00

Well, bearleft, some of it I will take to school and give to children who are nice to me :D, but that still leaves a lot left over.

50 guisers! When my two were younger we did get more visits, but just now there are few children in the right age brackets in our street and we don't get strangers knocking at the door.

We had none. In our old house we got loads!!

My DH is delighted as he now has a huge pile of chocolate to scoff!

OwlinaTree · 01/11/2013 08:52

Would IBU to eat chocolate for breakfast?

WooWooOwl · 01/11/2013 09:50

I wish I could say the same! I had four packets of mini chocolate bars and a tub with 45 chocolate bars in it. All gone, and I had to resort to giving out biscuits!

We had over 100 and still had some left, as I know we always get a lot.

digerd · 01/11/2013 12:58

We haven't had the T&Ters for some years now < grumpy old people's cu-de-sac inhabitants, excluding me of courseGrin>. But last night I had a ring on the door bell and low and behold there stood 3 small very cute red little devils with an older girl.
My little dog was scared of them and kept barking and growling, softly, at them in my arms. Then grandad appeared. I was embarrassed I had nothing for them and gave them a pound coin insteadBlush

kinkyfuckery · 01/11/2013 13:02

We had loads and had to shut up shop as we ran out. We used to get none at our old house. We then went out guising ourselves and came home with twice as much.
Plan next year is not to buy anything, but go out guising first for a bit, then come home and give away those sweets we got given Wink

eatriskier · 01/11/2013 13:16

We only had 3 lots last night. We've left the decorations up and the candy aside just in case they come tonight. After that it may require eating Grin

FeckOffCup · 01/11/2013 13:35

We had 2 guisers. I have just had some of the leftover sweets and a donut that DH brought home from someone's leaving party for lunch Blush.

RedHelenB · 01/11/2013 13:37

I can't believe how many pumpkins were left at the local asda! I actually got one three days early this year so we didn't have to do the last minute pumpkin hunt on Halloween!!!

balia · 01/11/2013 13:43

It's a sort of unwritten rule where we live that you only knock at houses that have decorations up so people get left alone if they are mean old sods not interested. Unfortunately it poured it down last night where we are so when it did finally stop everyone who was going out went at once!

Tabby1963 · 01/11/2013 15:35

Would IBU to eat chocolate for breakfast?

Owlina, eating chocolate for breakfast on 1st November is mandatory because Halloween chocolate does not keep well at all!

Beastofburden · 01/11/2013 16:44

we didnt have a lantern outside but we still got knocked up, luckily there was just enough chocolate anyway

BridgetJonesStoleMyPants · 01/11/2013 16:46

We never get any! by 10pm we end up scoffing them. We put a pumkin out and everything!

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/11/2013 16:51

It was looking good until 6.30pm when DH remembered the bulb was out in the porch. We had loads after DH replaced it and I ran out of chocolate. Resorted to nicking the crap ones from DD's haul and 'regifting' those.

GinOnTwoWheels · 01/11/2013 17:20

We didn't get any, despite there being loads going round the area. I've only just learnt about the pumpkin rule.

We used to get loads and have never put a pumpkin out. I'm going to stop buying treats as we now have a load of fun size mars bars etc that we don't really want.

DrHolmes · 01/11/2013 17:51

we didnt get any :( I carved a pumpkin and bought sweets all for nothing and now im munching on haribo instead of putting dinner on!

SauvignonBlanche · 01/11/2013 17:56

We ran out and I bought loads - there was none left for me! Envy
