The posh drinkers and the wanking walrus.

TV gold Grin

I love it too. The posh drunk man is very funny

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 31/10/2013 10:58

I love it too.

Last night's comment about Celine Dion not being alive to defend herself had me in stitches.

Thatisall · 31/10/2013 10:59

When the mum said "revolution" and the dad stormed out! Hilarious!

timidviper · 31/10/2013 11:04

I think it is great although I'm not so sure about the new families.
The posh couple are brilliant, I loved their response to the Japanese chaps with their virtual girlfriends Grin.

I also love the warmth and wit of the Asian father and sons, the charm of the gay guys and the obvious depth of friendship and understanding between Sandy and Sandra

meddie · 31/10/2013 11:11

My guilty pleasure. Love the posh drunk couple. Cant look at Lady Mary from Downton without laughing anymore

waceystills · 31/10/2013 11:30

I love it too! Try explaining it to some one who has not seen the show, they thought I was a bit mad for watching it

I love the posh couple with their vast drinks selection and no, Downton is not the same now! Lady Mary's arms!

Other favourites are the gay couple - whilst watching homeland:

"Everybody loves a bad boy"

"Yeah but not a fucking terrorist"

And of course Sandy & Sandra's amazing ring collection and terrible geography knowledge

Who would've thought watching people watching TV would be so entertaining!

SpottyDottie · 31/10/2013 11:37

Which episode is the wanking walrus? I'm watching them all on catch up!

SoleSorceress · 31/10/2013 11:49

I love them all!

I thought of the idea a long time ago. Could have been rich now.

KathrynKampbell · 31/10/2013 12:23

I actually feel genuinely sad that I missed series 1 because I was adamant watching people watching TV would be rubbish. But I love it now I've seen series 2!

SpottyDottie · 31/10/2013 12:24

It's ok, I found it! Grin

MrsPatrickDempsey · 31/10/2013 12:32

Snort at the Japanese/Gok Wan comment!

Haggischucker · 31/10/2013 12:33

I love it too, adore the posh couple and so want to go stay at their bed and breakfast. Turns out they were on a four in a bed show couple series back so need to catch up on 4od, think its called the salutation in Kent. It looks fabulous! :)

TheBuskersDog · 31/10/2013 12:57

I watch it with my 16 yo son, we love it. The posh couple (Stephanie and Dominic?) are hilarious, also love the comments the husband of the older couple makes - I wonder what he used to teach?

aliasjoey · 31/10/2013 12:59

"I could murder a pickled onion"

weirdthing · 31/10/2013 13:02

It is the best thing on TV. The posh couple and the gay guys are my favourites. I do love the elderly couple too. Very Alan Bennett.

squoosh · 31/10/2013 13:41

I've only seen it a couple of time but the posh drinkers are fab!

squoosh · 31/10/2013 13:42

What did they say about Lady Mary?

Sallystyle · 31/10/2013 13:45

I like the old couple, his wife doesn't seem to like him much!

OP posts:
NoArmaniNoPunani · 31/10/2013 13:45

I love it too. The elderly couple are my favourites, especially the man. He's so lovely and obviously adores his wife

Mumsex · 31/10/2013 13:53

Yes. It's good.
I always watch it and like to imagine myself being fucking hilarious on it, so much so, that I someone discovers me and I become a comedy type national treasure.

Love the old school teacher chap talking about how he was an expert at giving women orgasms.

waceystills · 31/10/2013 15:01

Squoosh - she looks like her arms missing because of her long black gloves Smile

aliasjoey · 31/10/2013 18:57

I start watching it thinking I have nothing in common with them, my family isn't like any of them... But eventually it seems like we're all the same underneath, we all (mostly) have the same reactions and emotions, it's kind of humbling in that sense.

You get this completely disparate group of people from all cultures and backgrounds, and everybody is on the edge of their seat willing on the boy with the stammer.

PublicEnemyNumeroUno · 31/10/2013 21:01

The girl who always drinks out of a pot noodle pot and her friend are funny as fuck!

Was also laughing my head off at Celine Dion not being alive to defend herself Grin

Kinraddie · 31/10/2013 22:23

I love Gogglebox. It makes me laugh and cry. I love Leon and June, the older couple from Liverpool. Very moving when they were watching Hayley in Corrie and Leon just refused to discuss the possibility of June being ill or dying. And I love the Michael family from Brighton, the son gets so mortified when his parents talk about sex. I actually can't believe that families watch some of these programmes together - embarrassing bodies? Watching that with 12 year old?! No way.

sarine1 · 31/10/2013 22:44

And they all cried when watching the last episode of Educating Yorkshire - as we did!!
