To think it would be nice if the media focused on the nice parts of Mumsnet too?

I know it has to be interesting to get people reading, but we see articles about penisbeaker and the whole Amanda Holden thing, and that we talk about sex (shock horror), but I haven't seen any about the other side of mumsnet?

I have seen so many times on here the support and advice given, and people willing to give up their time, and offers of people willing to send food etc. and it can be such a nice place too. I have cried more than once reading a thread.

I know we are not a fluffy site, full of Huns, and that's not how I want us to be portrayed, and its ok for the fun stuff to be reported on, but I do think it would be nice for people to see the other side of us too.

But there's no fun in that Grin

Its all about how nasty and sex obsessed we are.

What, you mean like "Mums have a really pleasant evening exchanging constructive ideas on how to support youngsters with dyslexia"?

Or "Mums support each other through time of serious illness"?

That will be the day...
