To not go to the gym, and let DD watch CBeebies all day long?

I have a creche session booked for my 3 year old and 4 month old, but said four month old has been up 5 times a night for the last five nights, and I'm hanging. I don't wanna go to the gym, I want to lie here crying and semi-dozing feeding the amazing non-sleeping baby while his big sister's brain starts to melt from too much screen time. AIBU to give in to the tiredness just this once?
(Long time lurker by the way! Hi!)

Just once?!! Bloody hell. I have a baby and toddler too and we do this most days!!

bumpandkind · 25/10/2013 10:22

Hell yeah! I'm still in pjs breastfeeding and eating an extra large unseasonable Christmas tobleron. Enjoy a day off from being super mum. Grin

Thanks! I'm not super mum. Toddles watches a lot of CBeebies, but I have melting-brain guilt because DH disapproves...

What sort of mother are you? Doesn't she need a break to watch Jeremy Kyle?

pianodoodle · 25/10/2013 10:44

The gym?! Sit on the sofa, have a rest, put Cbeebies on or chuck some crayons and paper in toddler's direction.

Have a nice day and don't feel guilty :)

YANBU- I wish I'd done this more often (guilt free!) When mine were that age.

Enjoy! :)

Sorry for random capital W!

I'm doing what I have done all week, dropped DS to school got me a breakfast roll, went home, threw on the jamas, put on the fire, and put on Jezza.

I don't feel a bit guilty, I might even snooze in a minute. .

Alternative that I used to do would be take dc's to the gym crèche and then either sit in the cafe, eat cake and enjoy the peace or go and fall asleep in the sauna / jacuzzi. No exercise necessary.

Yanbu! We have had a manic few days, spent hours walking round Warwich Castle yesterday and I just want to veg out. I'm 20 weeks pregnant, having uncomfortable Braxton hicks and I don't want to move. Ds wants to be entertained and keeps wandering around looking for mischief, dd is her mothers daughter and is happy to lie on the sofa. Horrid Henry is keeping them quiet for now!

KatyaRachmanova · 25/10/2013 11:22

Do it. I feel shattered and don't even have a newborn. I'm too tired to have any patience for endless Lego, stickers etc so peppa is on.

Obviously I still feel like a shit parent though. :(

Misey · 25/10/2013 11:30

Haha, thanks everyone. I'm a masochist, so I'm on the (walking) treadmill. I decided the endorphins would help, and this way I can have a shower in peace. And a cake in the café afterwards, obv. The CBeebies session will begin the minute we get home. You all made me feel lots, lots better. Next time I shall shelve the guilt.
Stupid babies. The other two used to sleep. This one won't...
