To keep ending messages with a x

I know I am! This is not netmums ffs. Please knock some sense into me. It seems it's a new thing that's developing, I've only ever ended messages to my husband with a x before now it seems I'm doing it on a public forum!

I always put at least 3 xxxx at the end of my text messages, can't help it!

I worked somewhere where everyone put at least 3/4 x at the end of e-mails, it was standard practice untill a new hr manager started and banned them for being unprofessional!! I - amongst everyone - was distraught and had to at least put a smiley face at the end to be nice lol

I used to do it, but then I did it on a work email without thinking, and the recipient told me if I did it again, he'd report me to HR for sexual harassment.

Yes, it was unprofessional, but it was also an error, and I think he did overreact a tad - if I'd done it on every mail I'd ever sent him at work fair enough, but one? And if I was going to sexually harass anyone, I don't think I'd have been talking about servers or disk space or whatever the mail was about.

Stealmysunshine Yes, it was harsh, but he was a bit of a dick.

I do it when I text my Daughters but don't do it when I text my Sons.
Doing it professionally or on message boards just wouldn't feel right for me.

I can't help it, it just happens x

It comes as natural to me as putting a full stop ..if my DP sends a txt I have a go if he doesn't include a x because they'll know it's not me and I'm too busy can't be arsed to text them back. x

I do it all the time, YABU xxx
