AIBU to wonder if nursery food should be better quality than hot lunches?

I've tried posting this elsewhere but didn't have much luck. Hoping for some genuine opinions!
Just asking because having lost their cook, the nursery decided not to replace her and instead bring in food from the nearby primary. I wasn't too concerned until my DS has had clear symptoms of indigestion (not hungry for the rest of the day, smelly breath and even vomit last week). This has been happening on and off since the food was changed so I don't think it was a bug.
When my other two were at primary, hot lunches were cooked with semi industrial ingredients like powdered eggs, milk and potatoes. I'm wondering if this could be the reason and whether I should expect a higher standard from nursery food considering little tummies may not digest as well?
He never had any trouble when the food was cooked on site at nursery.

YANBU to wonder, but why not ask the nursery? They must have some idea of the production methods and what goes into the food and if they don't know then they won't do anything.

I did ask this morning and explained why. The manager said that in the primary school they don't use industrial ingredients to prepare food but she would say so, wouldn't she?
