I recently got told on a thread that my nickname suggests I wouldn't offer sympathy to fellow MNers. How do you think people perceive your name as reflecting your posting style, and do you think I should change mine?

OP posts:
freezation · 20/10/2013 21:37

That I love Dean Tavalouris from the League of Gentlemen. And no one should ever have to change their user name!

BrigitBigKnickers · 20/10/2013 21:40

That I require Big Knickers ala Brigit Jones in which to keep my ample rear Grin (but my name isn't Brigit!)

flipchart · 20/10/2013 21:41

I don't know, I think my name is pretty neutral.

What do other think?

It was a name change.

edam · 20/10/2013 21:44

that I'm cheesy? And potentially Dutch? (NB the latter is a little bit true, dh is 1/4 Dutch so I must be a tiny bit Dutch-by-marriage. Certainly the Mother of an 1/8 Dutch child, come to think of it.)

bebopanddoowop · 20/10/2013 21:53

that I have incredible taste in music obviously!

2tiredtocare · 20/10/2013 21:56

That I'm never allowed to sleep and am docile and apathetic as a result?

BellaDesconocida · 20/10/2013 22:06

That I want to be/seem more interesting than I am.

That I have awesome buttresses.

Fecklessdizzy · 20/10/2013 22:11

Mine's a complete red herring ... i'm actually a razor-sharp evil genius and will be taking over a universe near you any day now.

Spatsky · 20/10/2013 22:12

That I am a former world stare out champion.

ArgyMargy · 20/10/2013 22:13

Gunpowder - I had a similar revelation here about DawnDonna. Grin

Loving all these posts - thank you ladies (& ?gents). And two Terry Pratchett fans (or is it just one with two presences?)!

OP posts:
HenriettaPye · 20/10/2013 22:14

Mine says that Henry was hungry. So he ate a pie

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 20/10/2013 22:15

It says that I once had a property nightmare before Christmas. And I did.

Fecklessdizzy · 20/10/2013 22:18

Bugger. I'm a razor-sharp evil genius who can't work a caps-lock. As you were. pathetic minions. Grin

NorksAreMessy · 20/10/2013 22:21

I have rather unruly mammary glands and a love of Victorian literature

"lawks-a-mussy Mr Pickwick"

:)

At least 5% of that is true

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 20/10/2013 22:21

Oh my goodness. DawnDonna too. Blush Blush Blush

I might as well leave for the other side straight away.

IHaveA · 20/10/2013 22:23

My name tells you that I am slightly paranoid...

..try searching for my other posts???

HaHa you can't.

It's like a name change for every post but without the hassle of a name change.

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 20/10/2013 22:23

Before I go... property why the capitals?

pigletmania · 20/10/2013 22:23

That I love piglet from Winne the Pooh

SuperMuddle · 20/10/2013 22:25

That I'm disorganised and ditzy, but also tall and beautiful. I'm actually not much over 5' tall and inclined to slight plumpness. Not ditzy either, but not especially organised.

Or, that I am some kind of rubbish superhero who always gets the situation mixed up and rescues the wrong person.

WallyBantersJunkBox · 20/10/2013 22:31

That I spend far too much time watching/listening to North Norfolk Digital (North Norfolk's best music mix)

When my name was Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 I used to get told that I made peeps either:

Sing a rather annoying song constantly
Or,
Feel a little bit queasy.

I miss the queasy days....

FunnyRunner · 20/10/2013 22:31

That I look absurd when I run. It's true sadly :o

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 20/10/2013 22:32

I used to be just 'property nightmare' then changed it last Xmas for a Christmas namechange (so 'night before Xmas' got added in capitals to draw attention to the festive vibe!). I then could not be bothered to name change back plus I genuinely did once have a property nightmare very close to Xmas time so just left it. A very boring explanation, sorry!

Hassled · 20/10/2013 22:35

Guess - go on :o.

Actually I'm usually pretty mellow these days. I was very hassled indeed when I first posted - just didn't really think long-term.

FunnysInLaJardin · 20/10/2013 22:36

that I'm quite funny and am in the garden. Both are mostly true. I have also been to France/ live quite near France

aquashiv · 20/10/2013 22:38

that I have zero imagination when it comes to these things.
