to tell you about my breakfast at Beefeater

We went to our local Beefeater this morning for the breakfast buffet. They took our order for the cooked stuff, and we knew that would take a while to come so we chatted and enjoyed the cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast etc. About an hour later the cooked stuff hadn't come, and it was nearing the end of the breakfast slot, so we checked with the waitress that we hadn't been forgotten. Not a complaint - we weren't in a rush or desperate for food. She apologised for the delay, checked with the kitchen, and said that the whole order was on the house.

I was amazed - we really hadn't complained, as we weren't inconvenienced, and we'd eaten loads - didn't need lunch. I said we didn't need it to be free, but they insisted. I was really impressed - and thought the least I could do was give them some positive feedback on here.

Ahh man, I am hungry now

If I'd waited an hour for breakfast, the least I'd except is for it to be free.

WorraLiberty · 19/10/2013 22:32

That's nice of them

But to be honest if I'd already eaten cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast...I wouldn't have been able to eat the food I'd ordered anyway.

Still, at least they tried to make amends.
