FortyDoorsToNowhere · 19/10/2013 20:06

Does it really play PP on a loop

gordyslovesheep · 19/10/2013 20:08

that's why they have remote controls and off switches these TV's

Heartbrokenmum73 · 19/10/2013 20:10

Is it an actual channel?

I thought it was a special October thing. The channels do that sometimes, esp. the American-based ones.

And when the fuck did Disney Jnr introduce adverts, the bastards?

SoYo · 19/10/2013 20:11

It is a Godsend in this house, it's like an instant calm down off switch for a screaming 8mo & can be switched off again after 4mins! I know this makes me a terrible Mummy but any port in a storm!

mrspremise · 19/10/2013 20:11

Shit, I'm going to have nightmares now (Peppa Pig is terrifying, its the way that their faces all swap 'sides' constantly) Grin

NotintheMiddle · 19/10/2013 20:15

Only for October, sadly :( ds loves Peppa (only thing he will watch) and it is so handy having Peppa there any time you need her Grin

Heartbrokenmum73 · 19/10/2013 20:18

Well, check me one time!

I thought it was only for October without even seeing it.

I miss Nick Jr and CBeebies. We seem to have Cartoon Network on a sodding loop lately. And I do find Adventure Time and Gumball very amusing but I miss the gentler, weenier stuff too.

Sigh...

SplitHeadGirl · 19/10/2013 20:23

Yes just for October. And I'm with Middle in that it is a godsend...my son is going through the obligatory loving-Peppa stage, so it's great!!!

CaptainSweatPants · 19/10/2013 20:37

Agree heartbroken mum

I can stomach Regular Show & phineas & ferb but no more ben 10 please!

fairylightsintheautumn · 19/10/2013 20:42

yep, october only - I wonder if they'll do Ben and Holly November. my two have gone off that a bit and I'm actually a bit miffed I'm missing out on the new series - have the wise old elf and nanny plum got it on yet? Pajanimals is the new favourite in our house Smile

Brittabot · 19/10/2013 21:00

YABVU. We have 5 minutes of Peppa before we go anywhere now, it gives me time to pack bags and get ready while 2 & 3 yr old are happily entertained.

Although DH and I had a non ironic conversation about our favourite bits yesterday (mine is where Mr Bull says "you can't build a house in a day... it'll be ready tomorrow" and his is where Daddy Pig says "my house is made of bricks so don't even think about it" to Daddy Wolf).

Actually on second thoughts you might be right.

FastWindow · 19/10/2013 21:04

Fresh hell ends in November?? Thank god!!

Love when peppa hangs up on suzy sheep because she can whistle, though.

SplitHeadGirl · 19/10/2013 21:10

My fave bit is when Mummy Pig narrows her eyes at the sexist pigs (haha - irony) at the funfair, and also at the dog who mocks her husband!!

I also love Grandpa Pig as he reminds me of my Dad.

PeppiNephrine · 19/10/2013 21:32

Disney jnr has always had ads, its a commercial channel.

You could, I dunno, turn off the Peppa pig channel?

MrsGeorgeMichael · 19/10/2013 21:34

ha ha FastWindow
DC 3 made me teach her how to whistle this afternoon :)

happy days!

FreakinRexManningDay · 19/10/2013 21:37

I love Phineas and Ferb.

Small dd watches peppa after school for a couple of episodes, she hasn't copped that its a whole peppa channel yet cause I turn it off Grin mean mummy

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 19/10/2013 21:51

I saw that the other day Splitheadgirl, I love the bits of Peppa that are clearly just for grownups.

I loved it today. I had an overtired, teething 10 month old with a cough who calmed instantly when I put Peppa on.

SplitHeadGirl · 19/10/2013 21:58

Monster you are SO not a terrible mother!! You found out what calmed your child and put it on for her/him...to me, that is being a pretty brilliant mummy!!

MajesticWhine · 19/10/2013 22:10

YANBU. Fucking sick of it. Have been lying to DD that it isn't on today.

SHarri13 · 19/10/2013 22:17

I don't mind it, it's an extra channel isn't it so it's easy to just switch to something else.

My boys love Sophia the first best of all.

Swimmyfishy · 19/10/2013 22:37

DINOSAUR!

twinkletoedelephant · 19/10/2013 22:49

My 4 yr old dt's live phineas and ferb and dinosaur train and tmnt ans hate peppa it's for babies :)

I am rather partial to a bit of pokemon myself :)

Meglet · 19/10/2013 22:51

A whole channel devoted to Peppa Envy.

ILetHimKeep20Quid · 19/10/2013 22:53

I miss cartoons that don't shout at you. I'm looking at you gumball and your annoying shrieking.

I'm loving the turtles though, but have to say the early 90s ones were better.

FeckOffCupofBatBlood · 19/10/2013 23:10

I don't mind peppa, my 2 year old worships her. Pajanimals does my head in though, that duck is an annoying little twat.
