To think that if you are OP

..you should bloody well check your post makes sense and is readable? Starting to really piss me off that people want advice and support but can't even be arsed to check that they have used actual words. Yes, we all struggle with phone keys but some of us take the trouble to correct the typos and bizarre auto-corrects. And you can turn off auto-correct, you know.

If I can't understand your post, you will get no support from me.

Rant over.

some people might be too drunk ...have a heart THE OP

nancerama · 19/10/2013 19:05

I never understand posts that end "rant over". Full stops work for me.

BillyBanter · 19/10/2013 19:06

I too get a bit annoyed at nonsensical OPs and titles which is why this one annoyed me. I clicked on it and replied anyway. I hope you are grateful!

Fakebook · 19/10/2013 19:10

Meh. What makes you think you're the queen advice giver? I'm sure they won't miss out on much if you don't post on their threads.

OP - your title and follow up posts tell me that you're a little bit silly.

lunar1 · 19/10/2013 19:14

Do you feel stupid now op? You should.

The thing I really hate is when a poster pours their heart out, obviously desperate for help and some nasty twat comes along and corrects their grammar/spelling.

Alexandrite · 19/10/2013 19:14

Yes, we all struggle with phone keys but some of us take the trouble to correct the typos and bizarre auto-corrects. Grin Grin Hilarious!

BaldricksTurnip · 19/10/2013 19:20

Judge not lest ye be judged and all that. Everybody makes mistakes, and in the words of the inimitable Oscar Wilde 'Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.'.

NotQuiteWithItAtAll · 19/10/2013 19:20

Oh how i have laughed at this Grin

Topseyt · 19/10/2013 19:21

The first rule when criticising everyone else is to make sure you are perfect yourself.

Some posts are easier to read than others. Some people's style of writing is easier to understand than others.

Posts without punctuation or proper paragraphs do annoy me though, as do posts in text-speak.

ScaryFucker · 19/10/2013 19:21

Margy, you just dropped a right bollock there, didn't you ?

darkdays · 19/10/2013 19:28

Truly hilarious. Smile

LittlePeaPod · 19/10/2013 19:28

Oh dear, we have a member of the grammar, spelling etc. police! Have you consider some of us rely on predictive text due to dyslexia and sometimes don't pick up on the auto spelling mistakes...

Here's a chocolate medal. Biscuit

Grin # your original post though.... Pot calling kettle!

Heartbrokenmum73 · 19/10/2013 19:33

Can I just say I'm OP and so is my wife!

SaggyIsHavingAPinkKitten · 19/10/2013 19:44

People who live in glass houses should look for the beam in their own eye before they throw stones!

IHaveA · 19/10/2013 19:46

I have a vested interest in not minding other people's spelling and grammar mistakes pot calling kettle black etc

What bugs me is the post and run brigade. Recently, I have spent ages writing a long and helpful reply to an OP and the bloody OP has just buggered off and not come back to the thread. It's bloody rude. I don't need to be thanked but I would like to know that the OP has at least read the replies.

Its worst when the OP has requested specific information (eg in EBay or Legal) and then ignored all the helpful replies. Saggy , what is DFONTAD?

ScaryFucker · 19/10/2013 19:55

OP, the thing to do now and will gain you lots of brownie points (rather than people thinking you are a bit of a dick) is to come back with good grace and berate yourself for your pedantic bufferoony. Any chance of that ?

ScaryFucker · 19/10/2013 19:55

IHaveA yes, the lack of acknowledgement is sometimes a pain in the arse.

ChippingInNeedsSleepAndCoffee · 19/10/2013 19:59

Scary - I expect the namechanging is taking longer than she expected. Bless Grin

AgentZigzag · 19/10/2013 20:00

This thread's getting better and better Grin

Especially like 'some people might be too drunk ...have a heart THE OP'.

Poor misunderstood pissheads, always getting the bum deal.
