To want a refund!

I placed an order online with Brantano on the 18th September and it was delivered on the 27th September. When I opened the parcel a pair of boots were missing. I emailed them straight away to find out where they were.

After no reply I messaged them via their Facebook page. They said they would look into it and send another pair of boots out. Surprise surprise they never arrived. I contacted them again and they responded by saying they were looking for a resolution.

On the 10th October, after I had contacted them again, they agreed to give me a refund. I've still not received it.

I paid via a debit card, is there anything I can do????

Thanks

I would contact your bank and ask what to do.

Thanks they were next on my list.

I think the bank can reverse the direct debit under the direct debit guarantee
I think that's what it's called anyway - I had to do it once.
I ordered some brantano boots too by the way and they were nothing like the description.

A debit card is not the same thing as a direct debit, and is not covered by the DD guarantee. If you'd paid by credit card and the boots were over £100 you could reclaim from the CC company.

No harm in talking to the bank but don't get your hopes up about them being able to do anything.

Talk to your bank. I'm with barclays and they have reversed payments made on my debit card that were less than £100 before.

Thanks everyone, I've finally received a refund. Not bad after waiting a month for it! I will not be using Brantano again. Their customer service is shocking. I've also been blocked from their Facebook page Hmm
