Group events

If you're trying to organise a group event and everyone tells you the dates they can/can't make, how do you decide?

What if one person can only make it on one date, which is one of the dates another person said they cannot do?

Should you all go on that date, should someone offer to duck out, or should it be the date when the majority can go?

Pick the date the most people can do. You will never please everyone.

Date that the majority can go should be the one.

NynaevesSister · 17/10/2013 18:10

Yes in this situation it is the date the most people can do.

atomicyoghurt · 17/10/2013 18:51

Yes do the one most people can do. Have you tried setting up a doodle poll? It's free and easy at www.doodle.com
You have the option of saying yes, no, or maybe to a series of dates and everyone can see what everyone else has said.
That way if someone can't make the date that you choose they can at least see what you chose it.

I offered to organise a night out for a group of us and they all picked the date I couldn't do. Sad I have graciously bowed out... sob

pudseypie oh that's shit of them. Hopefully your graciousness will prick their conscience and they'll reconsider the date.

Thanks Celia. It was always going to be one of us who missed out as there wasn't a date everyone could do but a little peeved as it was my idea in the first place! They are a nice bunch tho so I shall be gracious as someone had to miss it. Confused
