To think my baby ds is the best baby ever?

Even when he grizzles and dirties three clean nappies in a row. He is four weeks old, and so chubby and snuggly. I have never enjoyed having a tiny baby before. When dd was born, my Mum had just died, and she screamed constantly. When ds1 was born, dd was a small toddler, and life felt like a massive juggling act. I am so enjoying this baby.

It sounds like you are in a much better place to enjoy your baby this time. Have fun!

owlface · 17/10/2013 20:32

Aww, how lovely!

happydaze77 · 17/10/2013 21:05

YABU, because my dd is the best baby ever Grin
Only kidding - Congratulations!

dietcokeandwine · 17/10/2013 21:10

Congratulations Smile

I think I have adored new motherhood most with my third baby too. It is that lovely combination of having a tiny baby but feeling relaxed and confident because you've done it twice before, I think. And you know that everything is a phase Grin

Enjoy every second, my snuggly newborn is now a wriggly bouncy lively 9mo and those sleepy cuddles seem like a lifetime ago already.

peggyundercrackers · 17/10/2013 21:12

enjoy it as much as you can - the time passes so quickly when they are little babies, you want to keep them like that.

p.s. my dd is the best baby ever so it cant be yours :)

bumpandkind · 17/10/2013 21:14

Big congratulations!!! It's just such a magical time. Enjoy it and remember they get so big solo so soon. I'm already nostalgic for those early days and Ds is only 4 months!

YellowCanary1 · 17/10/2013 21:17

Definately being unreasonsble as my baby ds is the cutest, most snuggly and gorgeous little one on the planet!!! ;-)

BlackCatMummy · 17/10/2013 21:20

Aaah. That is the most gorgeous post Smile

puntasticusername · 17/10/2013 21:21

Aw, you are SO doing it right. He sounds adorable. Please can I come round and squidge his chubby wickle leggies?

pointyfangs · 17/10/2013 21:23

Obviously mine are the loveliest snuggliest babies even though they are now 10 and 12, but that is by the by... So glad you are enjoying your baby, OP. Flowers

Merlini · 17/10/2013 21:26

Aw, how absolutely lovely! Congratulations. Also loving motherhood 3rd time around with fat, sunny-natured DS2, who is nearly 6m. Loving it so much would seriously consider a 4th but think DH might faint with shock...

Hamwidgeandcheps · 17/10/2013 21:28

Yabu. Dd2 is the best baby ever even at a gallumping 11 months and walking. Dd1 was/is perfection herself but I had exh spoiling everything And I didn't enjoy motherhood in the way I should have. I was a lp long before dd2 was born and it has been magical every day. God I love babies!!!

OhBabyLilyMunster · 17/10/2013 21:28

Ah you are in the bubble of hormonal bliss. Enjoy every moment :)

mumaa · 17/10/2013 21:29

Awww, love this! Do love a bit of baby bliss! Congratulations, so wonderful

neunundneunzigluftballons · 17/10/2013 21:29

Aw you sound like you got the best baby in the world. I m really lucky I got 3 of them.

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2013 21:32

Crikey blimey o'reilly!

If only we had more of this.

You all sound truly magnificent.

DD is 11m and utterly insane in the best way possible. I never thought that endlessly saying "no! No, the cat litter tray is not for babies" would be the best way to spend a day. But it is.

Don't you wish we could bottle it?

LifeOfPee · 17/10/2013 21:35

You're all being unreasonable - mine is the bestest baby ever. I don't even mind when he wakes up in the night because then I get to look at him some more Smile

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2013 21:40

Oh, don't you love that? Looking at their wee snoozy faces while you know you could be sleeping; tidying; doing anything else . . .

On a flight earlier I got to look at DD's eyelids in close up for over an hour. I noticed a freckle.

Bunnygotwhacked · 17/10/2013 21:42

aww my dc3 was my best baby a combination of dc1 being my first and me being too scared to pick her up incase she woke up and dc2 coming 14 months later when dc 3 came older two were in school/nursery and i knew what i was doing and could spend hours just holding and watching him. I am due again in January I hope it is the same again this time

3littlewomen · 17/10/2013 21:44

Ahhh how lucky you both are... Enjoy squidging those chubby legs...

I can so relate to really enjoying the latest addition. We had no 5 a few months ago and are quite simply, all of us putty in his chubby little hands. We gaze in amazement at all he can do and are determined to enjoy every minute.

Congrats to you

Drgonzosattorney · 17/10/2013 23:00

Yes! You are delusional, of course your baby is not the best baby ever. Some bastard had to break it to you! Maybe Jesus was!

FriendlyElephant · 17/10/2013 23:04

You're all BU, my DD is quite clearly the best baby ever!

CongratulationsThanks
