that was an absolute breeze with my children. worked like a miracle but now I just can't, simply can't implement controlled miaoing!!!

my little cat just wants to play all night.

I have tried keeping her awake all day and cutting down her naps!!

switched her food from Asda's cheap tiger tins to posh pouches but she still jumps on my face at night, bloody miaowing until I feed her and put her out, then she climbes into the roof and miaows at the window.

she is so PFK... any ideas?

she won't stay on the naughty step!! she's a madam!! and the last time we had a cat flap it got kicked in and we were burgled.

dh just sleeps through it all the bastard.

Can you try a decent dry food? That can stay out all night, but make sure you get one with no derivatives, colours, artificial flavours which will send her loopy (and check your current food).

Or send her to live with me. Will have to kick dh as he is allergic but that's fine.

Sounds like attention seeking to me. Stop her pocket money and ban screen time for a month.

Seriously though, you're buggered. My cat is 12 and every night he comes padding in my room, miaowing to be fed. 12 whole years of it!

trouble is she's turned me into a mad cat woman slave. she has me wrapped around her paws.

Cats tend to be active at night. Try to get her some toys and balls to play with and shut her out of the bedroom if necessary.

she has a sodding toy mouse with a bell. she paw balls ( foot ball) down the stairs at night so very noisy.

she cries outside the door and pats it with her paw if I shut her out. she is mewing 'mummy I need you'

I give in I am spoiling her.

I like nothing better than giving my kitten a cuddle and smelling her fur she sleeps on top of dh all night and he can't turn over

Love the idea of attachment kittening! Other posters will come on with the 'rod for your own back' comments but I say if you respond to her needs straight away she will grow into a happy, secure cat!

thebody Your DH sounds awesome - nothing cooler than a bloke who loves cats!

The only, only way to get a decent nights sleep with DK is to let them into your bed. Years and years of experience have lead me to this conclusion.

Have you tried giving her a nice warm bath every night before bed, to get her into a routine?

I definitely recommend co-sleeping - that way you get a nice furry hot water bottle!

We got two (brother and sister). They were so busy yaffling the heads of each other that they left us alone. Plus finding them curled up together in the sock drawer was unbelievably gorgeous.
