I've just switched, 2nd time in a year and it's really easy.

I switched from power to Scottish hydro in May when my fixed deal ended, but now Scottish hydro are raising prices. So I'm going back to npower!

I can be fickle like that!

Think you for the thought. I'm fixed until Mar 14 with npower and have spent hours checking out my options and I still cannot decide whether to wait until Feb to change or to fix for longer now( in which case, for how long?). Maybe the less stressful option would be to smother myself with duck fat, sew myself into my clothes, look out granny's beaver, switch everything off, go on a raw food diet or start cooking outside with found kindling, go to bed when it gets dark/get up at sunrise, read by candle light as the occasional treat.

Thank you for the thought!

Where can you find the energy tariff info?

pippop1 · 17/10/2013 11:14

I've just fixed with EDF and they were v pleasant to deal with.

GlaikitFizzog · 17/10/2013 11:17

I used moneysavngexpert cheap energy club. If you know the tariff you are on it can do relative comparisons. Your tariff will be on your most recent bill.

I've just foxed for a year. But I'm good at checking every so often to make sure I'm on the best deal. The longer the fixed term the more ££ it is. Depends on how much surety you need in your energy prices.

Oh and if you are on a fixed rate now, make sure there aren't any charges to end it.

thanks for the reminder...I ought to do something!

Don't go back to NPower.

We trying to leave them as for the last 2.6yrs we had to keep ringing for them to raise a bill.

It now got to the point where DH has rung them today to tell them he is cancelling the direct debit until they can give us a bill.
