Oooh fabulous. Have just been reading threads such as 'Pat versus Isabel' and 'Honey we're killing the kid (how fat was Fatty?)' and'who did you prefer - Julian or Fatty?'. Oooh and 'did Malory Towers fail Gwen?'.

The thread about the Five Findouters and Dog is just genius....apparently Larry Daykin became a bank manager with a fondness for visiting the bank safe. He served some years in the Scrubs where he was recognised by the inmates and attacked....he has fully recovered apart from an odd gait

Thanks for this! Just have a couple of minutes before Rainbows but am definately going to continue reading later. I remember discussing all these issues with my mum when I was little - why didn't they help Gwen more; why were all French girls portrayed as having no honour and as rubbish at sports; why was being good at games so vital, anyway; why didn't Darrell get into more trouble for going about slapping people; etc., etc. Such fun!

I liked the Circus one too, I never thought of it as a child, but isn't it amazing how Jimmy Brown's parents just upped and left their house to join the circus within a matter of hours!

I so wanted to be in Mr Galliano's Circus, and ride horses like Lotta
