How late is too late?

I am waiting for someone to come and give me a quote on work to our house. He was due at 12:45 which means he is currently 20minutes late.

Soo, WIBU if in a few minutes if I decide to ignore the door if he actually does show up?

Yes. He is probably working on a job somewhere, possibly over run. Phone him?

Tried calling but his phones off.

IME it's rare they turn up at all. Most tradesmen I've dealt with are so busy it usually takes a couple of attempts.

It doesn't fill me with fuzzy feelings that he's not turning up before we have even started.

This isn't the first no show I have had this week - I would usually be slightly more forgiving.

Well he may be over-running on a job but that is no excuse not to phone you and let you know. My DH is a tradesman and is not unreliable and always shows up.

He may, however, have forgotten or got the wrong date but of course, until you get hold of him there is no way of knowing.
