AIBU?

To wish Bruce Forsyth could be humanely dispatched

In fact, not bothered about the humane bit.

He is beyond embarrassing on Strictly with his forced, stilted jokes which aren't even funny.

He is well past his sell by date.

Does anyone actually like him?

Why does he keep getting the gig?

YABU
I like him.
Tess not so much. She should leave there really is no point to her. Awful outfits too.
Love Claudia. Haven't watched it takes two since she stopped presenting.

I'd rather see Tess dispatched that him. She has the charisma of a cardboard box.

I like Bruce, Strictly isn't meant to be totally modern,it's harking back to a different era, the one people did used to do that kind of dancing regularly as a past time. Bruce would have been a young man then so I like that he is involved with it.

The jokes are meant to be cringy isn't that the joke that he is old but as a presenter and making those taking part feel at ease no one beats him

He is one of those people that looked middle aged when he was in his 20s so he just seems to have lived forever.

How rude!!!!
Leave Bruce alone may not be everyone's idea of entertainment but he doesn't deserve comments like that.

Tess is a man.

Her middle name is 'Tickles' in our house.

I have to watch Strictly on playback so that I can forward past Brucie's jokes. Mind you, I never liked him back in the 70s on the Generation Game, so it's not an age thing for me.

It's not an age thing for me. I have never liked him but I hate the way he practically has to explain his jokes.

It is funny how different people wind us up though, it's never occurred to me to dislike Tess, she's just 'meh' to me.

The jokes are supposed to be old-fashioned. I like SCD because it isn't shouty and noisy like other shows.

Tess and Claudia gave us an excellent show last week - it ran to time, all the judges' comments could be heard, there were no appalling 'jokes' and everyone looked as though they were enjoying themselves....

Bruce should have left last year, after the tenth series, with dignity - not dragged us all down this well-worn road again. He's an embarrassment...!

That's a bit harsh

I'm not particularly a fan but I just don't think he's up to the job anymore. The other week he was reading out his cards by pointing a shaky old finger at the words as he went.

And no-one want a shaky old finger..... Wink

I never could stand him and he spoils Strictly for me. When ds's see him on TV they always put on mock exasperation and say "a woman as incapable and elderly as he is would never get a presenting job on prime time telly!" That will be a dig at me then lol Blush But he really is embarrassingly awful. It's like having to put up with a dickhead relative at Christmas. Except it's every week.

You've just summed it up tophat, it is exactly like having to put up with a dickhead relative a Christams- love it!

yabu. I do agree with the idea that he's a bit doddery for national television but the way you've expressed it is really grim and tasteless.

God he is repulsive. I love the show but am clenched each week watching him ruin it.

Make him retire (10 years ago) please...

I was joking about actually killing him- lighten up!

We can't stand him and don't watch anything he is on. Time to retire Brucie.

You're right that there's no way on earth that a woman as old and cringeworthy as he is would be presenting.

I love Claudia - she and Teas do a great job.
