Ive changed my name as im peeved off. I asked for a genuine bit of advice about dd2 school, and i got abuse. Everyone is so unfriendly and jump down ur throat. Its very clicky in here and they all stick togethet. At least on netmums u get a fair hearing and gd advice, its crap here.

People come on here for an ego trip and im sick of it. Have a bit if respect and decency for peoples feelings!!! Grrrrr wish it was properly monitored

Or what Pag said.

She's nicer than me.

willyoulovemewhenyouknow · 11/10/2013 22:24

If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

All of us who are established posters understand the breadth of advice and probably post on here be ause of it.

I have a broader understanding of many topics since I joined.

"Who cares how long uv been a member everyone is entitled to be here!!!!
So get over it.

U should be ashamed making someone feel so bad."

I think it's Masha Bell having a tizzy that more people won't use her exciting new spelling system.

"uv". FFS.

I imagine places like nethuns to be faux friendly with all the 'hunning' and oink glitter (I may be wrong). Never noticed any unfriendliness here.

eleanorofacquitaine · 11/10/2013 22:25

pink, not oink Blush

I can't imagine why you feel so unwelcome... might be your attitude of course.

Still, don't let us keep you if you'd rather post elsewhere.

JakeBullet · 11/10/2013 22:25

Welcome to mumsnet! it is huge and diverse here.

It can be off putting as well at times but there are wonderful aspects to it.

Check out the bereavement support threads, the blankets which are made for bereaved parents by MNers....lots of people knit or crochet squares which someone else puts together into a huge blanker made with love.

The Christmas thread....people donate freely to ensure others who might be having a crappy time have a lovely surprise at Xmas.

Lots of good here. Not seen your thread but sorry if it's been a horribleness response.

Stravy · 11/10/2013 22:26

I don't like NM, so I don't go there.

Alisvolatpropiis · 11/10/2013 22:26

Grin at Pedlar

God, I'd taken the first few responses I had when I joined to heart I'd have fucked off and never come back again. As it is I rather like being told straight (I was being a fool) so accepted (not entirely graciously) and moved on.

oink glitter

Ahahahahahahahah!

Sorry OP, most people here are actually trying to be helpful. They just tend to operate by giving you the advice you need, not the advice you want though. I can imagine it can look harsh if you're used to a different style of posting.

Pagwatch · 11/10/2013 22:29

You know the people posting on your thread might not be any of the people responding to you now.
