Looking for some advice , I am recently divorced from a five year marriage , we had been together ten years in total , my ex had three children when we met and we had a child together . Now she is expecting me too pay maintenece for her two youngest and our own son , know I had been paying her for all of them for the part year but I think thought it was time to stop paying all that money , but I am more than ahoy too keep paying for my own son , but know she said because am not paying for them all she is stopping me seeing my son ( any ideas of what I can do know )

Well she cannot stop you from seeing your child. Can you see a solicitor about getting contact set up so you have your dc on a regular set basis?

did you adopt her other children?

if not she ibu and can get maintenece from their father.

do you now only want to see your biological ds?

did the others call you Dad etc?

I would contact a solicitor for contact and the csa about child maintenance.

Thanks for the advice , got solicitors next week , no I didn't adopt them and since the separation the only time they have wanted any contact with me is when they wanted money

Legally you only have to pay maintenance for your biological child since you did not adopt the others.

As for stopping you from seeing your son if you don't pay for the other, they have a word for that. It's called Blackmail. And you should never ever give into blackmail. Kids are not pay per view.

You need legal advice. How old is your son?

Some may want to discuss your moral obligations but right now I advise you to stick to your legal obligations only.
